Hotah had departed from the city in his car, and already was a good distance out of the city when he saw something from his rearview mirror. It became quite clear that it was Korra, and a wickedly smiling Chai riding Naga. The man pressed his foot down on the gas and sped up. Naga sped up too, closing in on the vehicle. When she was right next to it Naga pounced, ramming into the side of the vehicle. Hotah lost control swerving his car before crashing into a snow mound.

"Yeeehehehe!" Chai laughed as she and Korra hopped off of Naga.

The polar bear dog growled ferociously as she used her massive paw to break open the satomobile's driver side door. Hotah let out a cry, terrified as a serious Korra and smiling Chai appeared in the doorway.

"Hello." Chai greeted. "We'd like to have a little chat with you."

The man didn't move so Korra grabbed the front of his coat pulling him out of the car.

"What do you want?" Hotah asked

Korra pushed Hotah up against the side of his car. "It's not about what I want. It's about what Naga wants. And she'd like you to let my father out of prison."

Naga growled baring her teeth as she moved closer to Hotah.

"I-I'm sorry, but there is nothing I can do. I was just following Unalaq's orders," Hotah said

Korra's expression becomes even more livid, "What are you talking about?"

"I-I've said too much," Hotah said

"Hmm, I think it's about time for Naga to eat. What do you think Korra?" Chai said

Korra grabbed Hotah and Naga opened her mouth. The man screamed as Korra held his head in the opened jaws of Naga, her large teeth just mere inches from his face.

"Unless you wanna be Naga's afternoon snack, you'd better keep talking," Korra said

"I-I've worked for your uncle for years! He said he needed everyone to think the trial was fair," Hotah said

"So Unalaq told you what to say?" Korra said

"Yes! Every word," Hotah said

"Then why did he have you free my mother and change your sentence?" Korra questioned

"He's trying to keep you on his side. But he also wants your father out of the way. Just like when he got your father banished," Hotah said

Both girls' eyes widened in shock.

"What do you mean, 'he got my father banished'?" Korra said

"Nothing!" Hotah shouted

Chai now frowning stepped forward a ball of flame resting in the palm of her hand. "You keep talking or Naga's new snack is gonna have a nice charred finish."

After getting everything out of Hotah, Korra and Chai returned to the village. They quickly located their friends in Varrick's office, Korra barging through the doors with Chai hot on her heels.

"Unalaq's a liar and a traitor!" Korra exclaimed

"I've been trying to tell you that from the get-go," Varrick said, still inside his hiding spot.

"What happened?"Mako questioned

"I found out the truth about my dad's banishment. Unalaq hired the barbarians to attack their tribe. Then he told them to hide in the spirit forest, knowing my dad would go after them," Korra explained

"Unalaq wanted your dad out of the way, so he could become chief," Mako said

"It was all a setup!" Chai said
