Chai opened her eyes and let out a sigh.
"I'm back here again huh?"
She gazed at the stone door before her the smooth rounded walls circling around her.
"You are back."
Chai quickly turned around, mouth open ready to speak but nothing came out. The girl's eyes almost bulged out of her head as her jaw dropped.
Standing before Chai was a large giant dragon. Its scales were of a golden color, its eyes a piercing orange.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Chai screamed pointing at the dragon. "Don't eat me! Or suck out my soul, or whatever crazy thing dream dragons can do!"
Chai covered her head but her panic died down as a low chuckle resonated, the deep rumble bouncing off the walls. Chai looked up at the dragon to see he was laughing.
"Uh...You're laughing? That's a good thing right?" Chai said
"You are an interesting one."
All Chai's fear dissipated and she smiled. "That I am."
"Ah, I knew you'd be the right one."
"Right one for what?" Chai asked
"To pass on the legacy. To bring forth a new era...of dragons!"
"A new era...of dragons!" Chai gasped happily, bouncing up and down.
"Calm yourself young one I have much to tell and little time."
"Oh sorry," Chai said settling down.
"My name is Chu-Chen."
"Nice to meet you Chu-Chen, I am-"
"Chai. Yes, I know. I've been watching over you for quite some time." Chu-Chen said
"Watching over me...Are you a spirit?" Chai asked
Chu-Chen nodded his head. "Yes."
"So a spirits been watching over me? Why?" Chai asked
"You were chosen. You Chai, who were born on the first dawn of the new year, you whose first cries rang into the world as the sun rose high into the sky. You, whose hair glows with the light of the sun and whose eyes burn like bright embers. You whose fire is of energy and life," Chu-Chen said
"My fire? But I didn't start firebending until very recently," Chai said
"Yes, that is of my doing. I apologize," Chu-Chen said bowing his head slightly.
"Huh? You're doing? What did you do?" Chai asked
"When you were born I knew you were the one I was looking for, in order for this to be accomplished I marked you. It was so I could stay connected to you, so I could watch over you until you were ready but in the process, I accidentally sealed away your flames as well as myself," Chu-Chen said
"Wait...you were inside of me?!" Chai said, rubbing her stomach.
"Yes, along with your flames. The energy of your flames is what kept me sustained, but I was unable to break free until-"
Chai gasped, "Until Korra opened the spirit portal!"
"Yes. The increased spiritual energy was enough for me to break the seal and free myself from your physical form and thus unlocking your firebending abilities. Due to the extensive amount of time I was sealed away my presence had somewhat of an effect on you," Chu-Chen said
"My hair!" Chai said
"Since I was freed I have been seeking you out in your dreams to bring you here," Chu-Chen said
