Chapter 28: Let go

"letting go is hard, holding on is harder."

-jinae's pov

I froze when I saw tzuyu wearing the shirt I gave him.

Tzuyu: "who is it, babe?"

She gasped when she saw me.

Tzuyu: "hey jinae, what are you doing here?"

Me: "*scoff* I was just leaving."

Bang Chan: "no wai-"

I left quickly without sparing either of them a glance.

My mind was going wild. I said it. I finally told him that I loved him back and he stood there letting me pour my heart out to him. How could he do this, after telling me that he loves me? after insisting we go exclusive. He fucked her. he fucked tzuyu. The image of them together made me want to puke. 

I decided to walk back to the apartment. I had a lot of thinking to do.

~Time skip...

When I entered the apartment, Hanna and Yura were hanging out at the dining table. 

Hanna: "heyy how did it go?"

Yura: "*giggles* yeah we didn't think you would come home today."

Me: "yeah about that. He was screwing tzuyu.... *chuckled*oh well, they were done-"

Their smiles dropped as soon as I said it.

Hanna: "jin-"

Me: "I'm gonna go sleep."

I went to my room and leaned on the door. I glanced at the sheets for a good second before taking it off of the bed and throwing it to the floor. Ugh, disgusting. Everything that reminded me of bangchan now repulsed me. 

~Time skip to morning...

I don't remember when I fell asleep but the ear-piercing knocking woke me up.

Me: "I'm up!"

I shouted before getting up.

'Work is good.' I muttered to myself.

=In the car=

The whole ride to the practice, I felt Yura's piercing gaze on me.

Me: "you want something?"

Yura: "are you okay?"

Me: "why wouldn't I be?"
