You know, this whole "staving off the ever looming spectre of despair" thing would be a lot easier without all the dinosaurs. Did I not mention those? I should have mentioned those. Anyway, turns out that raptor attacks aren't so great for morale. True story.
At least the weather's holding up. We've had clear skies for three days now. It was a good idea to start giving people callsigns, too. Getting a new callsign from my squadron always made me feel closer to them, whatever it was. Hopefully it works with this bunch.
The newbie suggested Rubberneck for me, since I keep looking at the sky, but I can't help it. It really is gorgeous here. A perfect blue.

Sabes, todo esto de "evitar el fantasma de la desesperación que se avecina" sería mucho más fácil sin todos los dinosaurios. ¿No los mencioné? Debería haberlos mencionado. De todos modos, resulta que los ataques de raptors no son tan buenos para la moral. Historia verdadera.
Al menos el clima está aguantando. Hemos tenido cielos despejados durante tres días. También fue una buena idea empezar a darles nombres indicativos a las personas. Obtener un nuevo nombre indicativo de mi escuadrón siempre me hizo sentir más cerca de ellos, fuera lo que fuera. Ojalá funcione con este grupo.
El novato sugirió llamarme la Observadora, ya que sigo mirando al cielo, pero no puedo evitarlo. Realmente es hermoso aquí. Un azul perfecto.
