While the molten Edmundium remains elusive, this underground forest has proven quite illuminating, both figuratively and literally.
Many of this cavern's species are bioluminescent, so out of curiosity, I dissected several of the glowing insects that are common here. After further study, I have concluded that the luminescent fluid found in their posteriors carries something akin to a bioelectric charge. However I cannot determine how it is generated, and with no place to store it, said charge fades quickly.
Curious, curious indeed! What could be to cause of this? With no sunlight to provide the forest with energy, perhaps this charge comes from the soil?

Si bien el Edmundium fundido sigue alejándose de mi, este bosque subterráneo ha demostrado ser bastante esclarecedor, tanto en sentido figurado como literal.
Muchas de las especies de esta caverna son bioluminiscentes, así que por curiosidad, diseccioné varios de los insectos brillantes que son comunes aquí. Después de un estudio más a fondo, he llegado a la conclusión de que el fluido luminiscente que se encuentra en sus traseros lleva algo parecido a una carga bioeléctrica. Sin embargo, no puedo determinar cómo se genera, y sin lugar para almacenar dicha carga se desvanece rápidamente.
¡Curioso, realmente curioso! ¿Cuál podría ser la causa de esto? Sin luz solar para proporcionar energía al bosque, ¿tal vez esta carga proviene del suelo?
