~The world is a tragedy to those who feel, but a comedy to those who think~

********************************

Aaliyah

Ammar has been misbehaving ever since we came back from the charity gala. He has been doing his best to get on my nerves, but all in vain. I caught him going through my phone in the middle of the night, and he told me that he was just checking the time.

The light beep on my phone startled me, I quickly picked it up and I saw a message from an unknown number. When I opened it, I figured it was saleem, the stranger I met at the gala

Saleem: Hey there bond girl

Aaliyah: Hey stranger

Saleem: The day is almost over! Do you have any interesting plans for the evening?"

Aaliyah: Not really

Saleem: let's meet up and discuss business over dinner. Plesseeeee

Aaliyah: sorry, I'm afraid I can't

Saleem: Alright, give me an appointment at the office. Or better yet, I'll be right here in case you change your mind

I just smiled and dropped the phone, ignoring his last message. I headed to the dining to have some dinner

As I walked down the stairs, I spotted Ammar at the dining area talking on the phone.

He was wearing a grey button down and dark wash jeans. Even in the dim light emanating from the few illuminated lights, I could see that Ammar's body was athletic and pleasing to the feminine eye.

The way he moved radiates confidence, his persona has that softer feel to it.

Our eyes met, and something dangerous inside me sparks.

Why does he have such an unnerving effect on me? His over-whelming good looks maybe? The way his eyes blaze at me? Or is it the way he strokes his index finger against his lower lip when he gets curious? I wish he'd stop doing that.

Ammar felt himself to be strong and resolute like a man who sees clearly into his own heart. He's usually very calm and collected until it's show time. And sometimes his thirst for perfection makes me wonder if he is at least human, or a human without a soul.

I just stood there observing him. When I realized he was talking to zarah, he made me lose my appetite instantly. And In that moment, I knew that I'd rather be anywhere else but home, for I cannot deal with his tantrums or his stupid endless phone calls with other girls

So, I accepted Saleem's offer to meet up. Besides, Who am I to turn down free food?

I got ready in no time, And Ammar's chauffeur dropped me off at the meeting place. Saleem was already waiting, we dived right into dinner as we were both starving. He told me he wants me to find a perfect place to put up his studio

I gave him three options, three perfect locations to put up a perfect art studio. He said he'll chose one at a more convenient time and let me know.

When we were done, He sat there for some moments gazing at me, with affection beaming in one eye, and calculation shining out of the other.

That uncomfortable feeling was spreading over me. "What?" I asked, wide eyed

"You didn't want to come at first, what changed?" He asked, narrowing his gaze

"I got bored, I guess" I answered, sharply

"I thought you had other plans with your boyfriend and he stopped you from coming. I wouldn't blame him if he is over protective of you, you're every man's dream" he said, making me feel uncomfortable and over conscious of myself
