Every meeting led to a parting, and so it would, as long as life was mortal.
I always wanted a happily even after, The kind of happiness you have to earn. The kind you find after a broken heart or an injured knee, After a mistake that feels impossible to fix. Maybe this is it for me, leaving Ahmad. For some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost.
Ahmad made me realized that Every love that once promised you a forever will leave you at some point in your life and all that will be left is a forever in boxes full of fading pictures and aching memories.
I know that this day, this feeling, couldn't last forever. Everything passes, Things would get difficult and then normal again. But that was okay too.

Before I reached home, the news of my arrival has already spread.
Upon entering the house, I found some of my aunties who came to town to attend my cousin's wedding and a few close friends of my mothers waiting impatiently for me. I was like a celebrity on a tour, everyone wants a word with me.
"My dear, don't worry, everything will fall into place. You'll find someone more deserving of you, I'm so proud of you" said the positive aunt
"Take some time and think it through, don't make a hasty decision. Love is beautiful, love like that don't just vanish, it's eternal" says the hopelessly romantic aunt
"This is the work of the devil, I sense an evil presence. Both of you are not acting on your own, you are under the influence of dark magic. Do not get divorced, Divorce is not an option, it is almost an abomination" says the village aunt
"There are so many ways you can deal with Ahmad, in court or out of court. You can hit him where it hurts in the blink of an eye and you don't even have to be telling the truth. The choice is yours my dear" said the corrupt aunt
"Congrats for making it out of hell alive, keep fighting" the warrior aunt said
"You know you have certain rights as a human being, in case you want to do something about something. Like rules on physical assault, emotional abuse, sexual harassment and what have you" said the elite aunt
"That's the problem with children of these days, they always reject men that would value, respect and worship them for the rest of their lives. Look what happened to her, all because she has refused to marry my son, her cousin, her blood" said the angry aunt
"It's such a pity that what we thought would last a lifetime only lasted for a little while. Next time, do a proper background check before giving out your daughter to a family of lunatics" said the bitter aunt
"You all should stop this, give her a break. Let the girl relax and think. Please, let it rest for now" said my mother's friend
"Are you okey?" Was the first thing my mother said when she saw me, she gave me a big hug after making sure I had no sign of any physical abuse
"Yes" I answered
"Sure?" She asked again
"Sure mother" I answered with a small smile, with that warm feeling of being genuinely cared for consuming me. God I have missed this feeling
