Ameerah:

Sometimes not getting what you want is a brilliant stroke of luck.

Some luck lies in not getting what you thought you wanted but getting what you have, which once you have it you may be smart enough to see is what you would have wanted had you known.

Upon entering the house, I was greeted by Saleem's handsome face, it almost made me drool.

Surprisingly, he didn't hear me come in, because he is buried in his thoughts.

His arms are folded and rested on his desk, as he looks out the window to his left, overseeing the small garden in the distance where the gardener is currently watering the plants.

My heart almost fell because I have become used to his warm loving welcome whenever I entered the house.

I quickly dropped the keys to my Bugatti La Voiture Noire and walked up to him, he arose when he saw me walking towards him.

Tugging at his hand, I pull him lower while standing on my tiptoes and I plant a rushed kiss on his cheeks.

"Awww, Mi lady. I guess you've missed me a lot today. Go have a shower and change into something more comfortable, I'll be right here waiting for you. Dinner is ready" Saleem said

I nod and started walking away, but I just froze. I turned and faced him, Then I asked,

"Why are you doing all this, why are you being so nice?"

An answering smile drifted across his super handsome face. "We might have gotten married by accident, but I have fallen in love with you" he told me

"You're In love with me? I asked

"Yeah, unconditionally" he answered

"Until when?" I asked again

"Until eternity, for what is mine, I intend to keep" he replied

"People like to say love is unconditional, but it's not, and even if it was unconditional, it's still never free. There's always an expectation attached. They always want something in return. Like they want you to be happy or whatever and that makes you automatically responsible for their happiness because they won't be happy unless you are ... I just don't want that responsibility anymore, I've been there before.

"Ameerah, I'm just choosing happiness over sadness or suffering, I know I am. I'm making space for the unknown future to fill up my life with yet-to-come surprises. I want you to open your heart and do the same" he added

"As if it's that easy, maybe it's because you know nothing about my past relationships" I shot back

"Well, I know that Lips that have tasted the salt of tears always give the sweetest kiss. Come give me a kiss right now" he said with a wide smile on his face

I couldn't help but smile when I heard that, This guy never ceases to amaze me. He has the right answer for every question.
