Yasmeen

"Ahmad said I am sleeping with my brother Bilal, that's why he gives me nice and expensive gifts as payment for my services. He said that he caught us in action, red handed during the filthy act" I blurted out

"Bilal?" My cousin Neehad shouted, with alarm. It made all the people in the house rush to where we were seated to see what is happening, except the men of the house. They are used to our loud noisy conversations

"Where did you hear that from?" My sister asked, looking pale and out of breath. It looked like she was about to pass out, but my cousin quickly grabbed her and sat her down. It was quite a blow to her because she was a huge fan of Ahmad, she has got his back from the very beginning, and has worked wonders to make our union a success. But this is how he chose to repay her.

"A friendly neighbor who lived next door to Ahmad told me. She said they have grown really close with him after I left, they also help feed him and offer some emotional support to him because he is in a very bad shape. Though he is trying so hard to hide it" I replied

"You should find out more from that neighbor" my cousin said

"I'd rather not, even though she said he told her a lot of terrible things about me" I replied

I sat back, enjoying the drama

Cousin Neehad and the rest of the family were like theater people, they were all talking. All of them, Simultaneously. They do not need to be heard, they only needed to be speaking.

They were all like islands, shouting insults at Ahmad and his entire lineage across seas of confusion, pain and anger. But my mother remained silent, buried in her thoughts, and unaware of her environment

"Neehad, don't do anything stupid, Think before you act. And Yasmeen, not a word to Bilal or your father about this" my mother warned, before taking her leave

I felt no remorse after telling them about it, That's how this kind of rumor is. It is messy, raw and uncomfortable.

The only thing that bothers me is the fact that my mother is not doing anything about it. She's being too easy on Ahmad, even though she is not the type to let rumors like these slide easily.

After our conversation with cousin Neehad, I became more desperate to get my divorce. I couldn't bear the thought of never getting divorced from Ahmad, so I draped my veil and headed to my brother's house to ask if there is any progress.

Upon entering his house, I witnessed the most beautiful scene. My brother "Bilal" was seated in his living room, surrounded by his family. He is like a loin in his den, surrounded by his lionesses and Cubs. Enjoying each other's company, making sweet unforgettable memories. Too bad I had to interrupt the moment

Bilal is no different from my biological brother, even though we do not share the same parents. He has been a part of our family for as long as I cannot even remember.

Bilal is indeed a good man who does great and noble deeds. He is a Trustful person, pure at heart, and moves by the zeal of his own trustworthiness.

He has a steadfast heart that does not stray from the path, and the strength of his character is admirable

Like a rugged tree, he is hard and sound at the core. For he has walked in the path of his weaknesses daringly and has turned  them into strength

He is a strong man, who smiles and move forward even with many obstacles in life. Who knows how to belong to himself and his loved ones
