LUKE'S POV:

I took in a deep breath, holding the door knob to my house. I looked at Lacey who gave me a reassuring smile as she held a sleeping Sam.

I nodded to myself and opened the door, walking in to the sound of nothing. "We're home!" I yelled, hoping to get a response.

I haven't told the guys about Lacey yet but I'm hoping they have positive reactions. All I told them was that Ellie woke up, I told them that a week ago, though. So I've basically been hiding Lacey from them for a whole seven days. Calum and Mikey didn't really like her. Katy didn't...

"Ellie!" I heard a nasally voice yell. Ashton.

I tensed up slightly as I heard his feet padding on the stairs. I watched as Lacey - who was carrying Sam - and Ellie walked into the house. Ellie quickly rushed towards the couch and jumped onto it, cuddling one of the pillows to her chest. "I've missed this couch so fucking much."

I heard a gasp and cocked my head towards Ashton who looked like he was about to pass out. His face paled as Lacey smiled and I felt a rush of nervousness rush through me.

Lacey laid Sam out on the couch and walked back over to me, only to slowly approach a shaking Ashton.

Ashton instantly pulled her into a hug, his back facing me.

And when I saw her smile like everything was okay now, my world lit up just a little more. Everything is beginning to get better, just like everyone told me it would. They didn't lie because I found myself smiling from ear to ear.

The missing pieces I'd lost on my journey up were finally being picked up and put together. I don't feel empty anymore, I feel amazing. No other feeling could ever compare to the way I felt when I saw her smiling.

Her smile lit up my world, the curves of her beautiful lips were my sun, her eyes the horizon, and her voice was my world. Everything about her was perfect, and now that I was thinking all of this, I felt this urge in me to prove to her just how much I loved her.

I've prepared so long to give someone everything. I'll give her the world, I'll give her all of me. I'll risk everything. But the this undying love I've had for this girl - this woman -made me realize something.

Love is a sacrifice, a sacrifice not everyone is willing to make. I was prepared to sacrifice everything if that meant being happy and by her side.

Apparently I was lost so much in thought I hadn't realize Lacey was calling me.

"We need to catch up," she smiled timidly at me before intwining our fingers.

I nodded before motioning for the two of us to go to the backyard, where we'd have a bit of privacy.

We sat down on a small set of swings, my legs being a bit to long for the small swing set.

"These are so small," Lacey laughed lightly covering her mouth as she laughed. I nodded slowly, smiling softly as I gazed at her beauty.

"Stop staring at me like that, I'm blushing," she giggled.

"Um -- sorry, I'm just thinking a little. I lied, I'm thinking a lot," I admitted sheepishly, rubbing my face in frustration.

"It's okay to think, just make sure the thoughts don't overwhelm you," Lacey said quietly, pulling the flannel I had let her borrow closer to her slightly petite figure. I missed the sight; her in my clothes.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked softly, putting a hand on my knee as a comforting gesture.

A small rush of butterflies rushed through my stomach at her touch.
