LACEY'S POV:
I woke up to pure blurriness, a figure besides me.

"Thank god," I heard a familiar voice breathe out.

I sat up from where I was laying down; Luke's bed.

"W-what h-happened?" I stuttered out seemingly breathless.

Luke put a hand on my thigh, breathing heavily.
"I-I don't know," he whispered. "But I thought you weren't going to wake up.

I quickly sat up, feeling panic rush through me.

Luke flinched back. "Relax, everything's okay."

His blankets were scattered across the floor, room messier than ever. The pictures of him and Katy still hung on the wall; making an ounce of anger rise inside of me.

I couldn't ignore the stinging I felt, my skin burned. It hurt. Did Luke feel this?

"Are you okay?" Luke asked, eyes filled with concern.

"I'm fine," I whispered, grabbing his hand and lacing our fingers together.

"How are you feeling?" Luke asked softly.

"Horrible," I admitted, I shivered at his touch now, it was no longer burning but instead icy and cool.

Silence.

"Luke?" I asked quietly, feeling quite anxious with the silence pondering between us.

"Yeah?"

"Come here," I said quietly, patting his bed lightly.

"A-are you s-sure?" Luke stuttered, a slight blush creeping up his cheeks.

I nodded, turning onto my side. Luke grabbed the blankets and threw them onto the bed. I sighed, grabbing the edge of the blanket and pulled them over myself. Luke laid down besides me, turning off the lamp on the beside table before doing so.

I've always craved a relationship like this.

His hand slowly laced our fingers together, and even though I couldn't see him and he couldn't see me, I knew we were both smiling at each other like idiots, even in the dark surrounding us. I could just sense it.

"Luke," I whispered. "Hmm?" He hummed back.

"I want to try something," I said, sitting up, him still laying down.

"O-okay," he said nervously, I felt the bed sink in besides me and guesstimated where his chest was and pushed him back onto the bed.

His breath was unsteady, short, quiet gasps escaping his lips.

I straddled him, holding back a giggle at how he seemed so nervous.

I leaned down, pressing our foreheads together before sitting on his stomach.

I've been wanting to do this since I first met him.

I took finger and bopped his nose, my heart suddenly filling with happiness and stifling a giggle with my hand.

He chuckled nervously, "you're adorable."

I laid back down, on him this time. We were so close; I could hear and feel his racing heart against my ear.

"Goodnight Luke," I whispered.

"Goodnight," he paused. "Apple."

"Apple?" I questioned, laughing quietly.

"That's your new nickname," Luke said proudly.

"See you in the morning."

I slowly drifted off to sleep to the sound of Luke's heartbeat, our heartbeats seeming to match rhythms. My heart felt like it was on a journey outside my throat.

"Are you awake?" I heard a voice whisper into my ear.

I groggily opened my eyes and was met by the pale blue eyes of a rather excited, over grown boy.

"I am now," I groaned, rolling onto my back.

I paused.

"Is that a camera?" I asked, an idea popping into my head.

"Yeah," Luke mumbled, putting a hand on my hips.

I quietly leaned over and picked up the Polaroid camera on Luke's bedside table.

I quickly tried to snap a picture of Luke - without looking - before feeling breathless when I felt a massive weight on top of me.

"Noooo Apple, I look gross," Luke laughed, rolling on top of me.

"Ugh! You're going to kill me!" I exclaim dramatically, trying to push him off of me.

"Give me the camera," he giggled.

Giggled.

Luke just giggled.

The pleasant sound was like candy to the ears; sweet and unbelievably adorable.

"No!" I yelled, Luke's weight on my stomach causing me to sound breathless.

"F-fine! You win!" I giggled, giving him the camera I was trying to keep out of his reach.

He smiled, giving me a quick kiss on the lips before rolling off of me and onto the floor.

"You dummy," I laughed, my sides aching.

"Michael!" He yelled.

No response.

"Lacey's bullying me!" Luke exclaimed.

"Shut the fuck up!" I heard a small, muffled voice shout - the voice belonging to Michael.

"Apple," Luke chuckled lightly. "I don't like you, you're bullying me."

He stood up and flopped onto the bed, causing me to laugh the slightest bit.

I could get used to the happiness that has fulfilled my life.
