LUKE'S POV:
I quietly chuckled, Mikey will love me for finding this.

(A/N he already does Luke smh)

There was no room left in my backpack so I shoved the small box into the pocket of my hoodie.

All I need to get is matches, and then I can leave.

I made my way out of the isle in which I found the hair dye and wandered over to where there was fire wood, there should be matches and lighters there, right?

I skimmed the shelves, sighing as I saw a four-pack of matches and a pack of six lighters.

I stuffed the matches in my back pocket, which surprisingly fit, and put the lighters in the pocket of my hoodie.

I think that's all we need, if I missed something I could simply come back.

I began to walk out when I heard the quiet padding of footsteps that were not my own.

I froze.

Then I heard a breath hitch and began running out of the small store, which was difficult with everything I was carrying.

I ran pretty fast, so I could probably lose the person.

That was when I felt hands grab my shoulders and pull me back.

I gasped and tried to kick my legs to hit the person beside me, but he or she kept dodging my hits.

"Jesus Christ Luke, you fucktard it's me," I heard a slight deep voice mumble.

He's alive?

"Oh, my god. Calum!" I yelled and squirmed out his grip, turned around, and practically pounced on him.

(A/N *whispers* cake cake cake cake cake)

"You scared the shit out of me," I breathed out and tightened the embrace between us.

"That's what I was trying to do," he chuckled and patted my back.

"Holy fu-"

"No cursing Hemmings," he remarked.

"Holy fudge, Mikey and I have missed you."

"I've missed you guys too," he sighed and pulled apart from the warm embrace.

"You're coming home, right?" I asked, smiling like an idiot.

I'm glad I at least got to see him if he was to not come back home.

"Yeah," he whispered.

"How'd your trip go?" I asked and motioned for us to begin our walk home.

"A lot happened."

"What happened?"

"Just...things," he trailed off.

He looked so beaten up; hair messy, tired eyes, chapped lips, he was limping for god knows what reason.

"What made you decide to come back home?"

"I don't know," he mumbled. "I just missed you guys."

"Oh," I whispered.

I was at loss of words; not seeing one of my best friends for almost two weeks was really heartbreaking due to separation.

Calum was the more "wise," one.
I was the quiet one.
And Michael was the weird, crazy one, in a good way of course.

"How's it been without Katy?" Calum asked quietly, slightly tilting his head to look up at me.

"Hard, depressing," I managed to choke out.

"Are you okay though?"

I shook my head.

"You're just going to have to move on Luke."

"I know but, I just - I loved her. I love her."

"She wouldn't want to see you in this state," Calum said, sympathy in his chocolate brown eyes.

"I know," I whispered, tugging at the sleeve of my hoodie.

We walked in a comfortable silence until we got home.

I quietly opened the door, shushing Calum, I put my backpack down on the floor, along with the lighters and matches.

Let's surprise him, I mouthed.

Calum eagerly nodded, a big smile plastered onto his face as we made our way upstairs.

"Wait here," I whispered to Calum and opened the door to Michael's room.

He was sitting on his bed, guitar in hand, notebook on his bed.

"Mikey," I chocked out, trying my best not to smile.

"I have a surprise for you, well, two surprises."

"Alright," he sighed, set down his guitar, and walked over to me.

"Here's you first surprise," I chirped and took out the box of red hair dye.

"Holy shit! Hair dye!"

"And here's your second surprise," I said, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt.

I opened the door and Calum popped out.

Michael froze and dropped the box of hair dye, he quickly ran over to Calum and pulled him in for a hug.

I fondly looked over at the two hugging boys.

He's crying, Calum mouthed.

I chuckled quietly.

"I've missed you so so so so soo much," I heard Michael - not so quietly - whisper to Calum.

"I'll leave you two alone," I said and walked out of Mikey's room, shutting the door behind me.

I should probably put everything away.
So, I began to walk downstairs and into the living room. I picked up my backpack and walked into the kitchen.

I began to put everything away when I heard quiet thuds coming from upstairs.

I'm happy that Calum is back.
I haven't felt this happy since...Katy, I think.
