KATY'S POV:

I sniffled slightly at the thought of him already having moved on.

It seems like he never did care for me.

I won't let that get to me.

Breathe Katy, breathe.

"W-we can fix this," I said quietly, helping Luke stand up.

His lanky figure towered over me and I struggled to help him over to his bed.

"Fix what?" He slurred, eyes moving around the room as if not being able to focus on one single thing.

I quickly walked into his bathroom, grabbed a towel, wet it, and walked back into his room.

"Where do you guys keep the first aid kit?"

"Bathroom, down the hall," he mumbled, seeming spaced out as he stared at something on the wall.

I sighed, walking out of his room and crashed into Calum.

"How's he doing?" Calum asked, lowering his voice so Luke wouldn't overhear us.

"Not so good," I admitted, biting my lip.

"What're you doing?" He asked, following me into the bathroom and watched me as I rummaged the cabinets for the first aid kit.

"I-I'm going to fix him," I replied.

He can't be too far gone, he's still in there. He's not addicted, no. He's the same Luke I knew two months ago, the one that made you smile when he smiled. The overgrown boy in a seventeen year olds body. He is still him. He's still here. I can save him, everything will be okay.

Right?

"He already did it Katy," Calum sighed sadly.

"I can fix this," I said, voice raising slightly.

Hope can't be lost in someone so young.

"Katy-" Calum reached out to stop me but I swatted his hand away, anger now rising in me.

"I am going to fix this Calum!" I yelled, tears forming in my eyes. He glared at me as I continued my search for the first aid kit.

I sighed once I found it and hurriedly walked back into Luke's room, shutting the door behind me.

"We can fix you Luke," I whispered, putting the kit on his bed and opening it up to reveal the contents inside. "We'll have happy Luke back and everything will be better, okay? I promise."

"Why are you trying to 'fix' me?" Luke asked suddenly. I stopped what I was doing and looked up at Luke.

"Because Luke," I sighed. "I don't want you to get lost in your own thoughts."

"I already am lost."

"But you're not too far gone," I whispered, grabbing the towel and held my hand out for Luke.

"You can't fix an already broken being," Luke said bluntly.

"Hope isn't completely lost," I remarked, softy wiping away the blood on Luke's arm and wrist.

"Sometimes it's just easier to give up," Luke shrugged.

"Taking the easy route makes nothing easier."

"Sometimes," Luke said in a monotone voice.

"Just stop," Luke groaned.

"I'm not going to!" I yelled, grabbing his wrist and wiping all the blood off.

"Why do you keep trying to fix an unfixable toy!" Luke shouted, prying his wrist from my hand.

"Hope is all I have left," I whispered, letting a tear roll down my cheek.

Silence.

I quickly finished cleaning Luke up and wrapped a bandage around his arm.

"You'll be okay, everything is okay," I said, letting out a shuddering breath.

"Why do you care so much Katy?"

"I don't want anyone to feel alone, Luke."
