LACEY'S POV:
I scrambled through the hospital door and ran towards the front desk.
"Ellie-Ellie Nights," I breathed out.
The lady gave me a weird look before telling me which room she was in, feeling out of breath from the small run I had done - in heels may I add.
I quickly pushed through the doors and made my way towards room E10.
I got lost on the way, but after about five minutes I finally found the room. I put my hand on the door knob.
Luke is behind this door.
I detached my hand from the door knob and turned around so my back was towards the door.
A smile was stretched across my lips and I couldn't help but get a bit emotional and felt a tear roll down my cheek. The door opened and I flung towards the door and my eyes automatically met the pale blue eyes of the boy I haven't seen in five years.
I frowned at his appearance, though. He got a lot taller, but he had bags under his eyes and he seemed a lot thinner. His eyes didn't hold the happiness they consisted of back then, they're a duller blue now.
"Lacey," he choked out.
I basically jumped into his arms and wrapped my arms around him as tightly as I possibly could. His scent filled my nose; after shave and chocolate, and for some odd reason I smelt strawberries.
"Uncle...uncle Luke?" I heard a small voice call out.
I flinched back at the voice, hearing it was a child's. Luke grabbed my arm and pulled me inside the room, only to pull me into another bone crushing hug.
We waddled into the room - still hugging - but then Luke let me go.
I frowned, but watched as he crouched down besides girl that had talked to him.
Did he have a daughter I didn't know about? He would've told me about that, right? She called him uncle though...
"Is she your um..." I trailed off, biting back more tears because now wasn't the time to get emotional.
Luke frowned and shook his head as he stared at the girl in the bed.
"Sam, this is Lacey," Luke told the small girl - Sam - and motioned towards me. I smiled and crouched down with Luke to be about the same height as Sam.
"Lacey, this is Sam," the girl hid behind Luke as he introduced me to her, she's obviously quite shy. I smiled sadly, still trying to put the pieces together. Whose kid is she?
"We'll be right back Sammy, just - sit on the couch and wait for Ellie to wake up okay? We'll be right outside," Luke stood up and gently entwined our hands and led me outside the room.
Right as he shut the door he pulled me towards him and pressed his lips to mine. Only this time the kiss we shared seemed more longing and passionate.
I smiled against the kiss but kissed back.
I shyly pulled away when I saw a nurse pass by and looked up at Luke with tear stained eyes.
This is actually happening, this is real. He's here, I'm here. We're together once again.
"That's Ellie's kid," he said quietly, sniffling slightly but smiled down at me.
"Isn't she, like, eighteen though? How old is Sam?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows.
