(A/N So i made a thing on the top/side wow)

LUKE'S POV:

"Luke, what's your life goal?" Lacey asked softly as I messed around with her cute little fingers.

I stayed silent for a moment, thinking about the question.

What is my life goal?

"Well," I paused. "I really want to see a penguin," I chuckled lightly at how Lacey looked up at me in disbelief.

"Seriously though," she pouted.

"I have more than one goal," I finally said after a few moments of thinking.

"Why more than one?" Lacey asked, curiosity clear in her tone.

"I want to accomplish a lot during the time I get to spend here," I replied, still fiddling with Lacey's thin, short fingers.

We were in my room all cuddled up. We've been in here for a good half hour in dead silence, just enjoying each others presence.

"You never answered my question," Lacey remarked, hand on my knee.

We were in a weird position right now; I was sitting down on my bed, back against the bedpost and had my legs spread with Lacey in the middle. Wow, that sounded really dirty.

Her back was against my chest and I held onto her right hand as her left hand rubbed small circles into the lower portion of my thigh.

"I have several goals I want to complete, Apple."

"Like?"

"I want to...I want to bring music back, I want to share this-this passion, love, and desire I have for instruments and singing with everybody. Though there isn't much people out there who will hear my voice, I believe I can accomplish something in the music category. I want to have kids, I want have a partner that I'll spend my short eternity with in this world. I want to see a penguin. And I want to be happy again," I said.

"Oh, and did I mention; I want to see a penguin," I added, tensing up at how Lacey's giggle sounded.

"You're not happy?" Lacey asked, turning her head slightly, revealing a small frown on her face.

"I-I'm getting there," I sighed, putting down her hand and wrapping both my arms around her stomach, leaning my head on her shoulder.

"It's just a phase; sadness doesn't last forever," I whispered into her ear, planting a small kiss just behind her ear before resting my head on her shoulder.

"If sadness doesn't last forever," she paused. "Then neither does happiness."

I shifted slightly, I've never thought of that.

"The temporary feelings we as humans feel are what define our humanity, and personalities. Without feelings, we're nothing," I said, shrugging slightly.

"Sometimes feelings make us nothing," Lacey said, bringing my hand up to her lips and kissing my knuckles, causing my stomach to do flips and cheeks to blush.

My heart stopped to a halt as her hand slowly trailed upwards.

"Feelings make us everything; who we a-are, who we will be, how we act," I stuttered, feeling jittery at how high up her hand was.

"Well, do you know what makes us-"

"W-what's your l-life goal?" I cut Lacey off, clearing my throat and squirmed slightly.

Her hand trailed back to my knee, I let out a sigh of relief. "To feel love," she nodded slowly.

"You've never felt love?" I asked, raising an eyebrow though she couldn't see me.
