LACEY'S POV:
"You met Luke on a scavenge?" Katy interrupted me.

"Well, I had seen him before but didn't talk to him," I shrugged.

"Who are you guys talking about?" Ashton asked, confusion clear in his voice as he stared down at me with a perplexed face.

"A guy named Luke," I said quickly before turning back towards Katy.

"How...do you know where he lives?" She asked as I took a turn, going towards his house with Ashton following behind us.

"I-I've been to his house," I stuttered, suddenly feeling nervous as to how she'd respond to that.

"What did you guys do?" She asked, jaw clenched.

"We had hardcore sex Katy," I replied back sarcastically.

"Ew," Ashton grimaced, Katy just seemed extremely pissed off and I felt accomplished because I made her mad.

I smiled out of satisfaction, "we played basketball."

"Who's Luke?" Ashton asked .

"My friend," I said.

"My boyfriend," Katy responded.

"He thinks you're dead, I'm pretty sure he considers you his ex," I scoffed.

"Don't push it," she said, lowering her voice enough so Ashton wouldn't hear.

"Wouldn't dream of it," I snickered.

"Okay, so um...where are we going?" Ashton asked once again, still looking confused as hell.

"To Luke's house," I replied, getting a bit frustrated.

What if he doesn't want us there?

"Oh, okay."

The rest of the trip consisted of Ashton almost falling multiple times and Katy trying to trip me.

A shaky breath escaped me as I looked up to see his house perched on a small hill in front of me.

"It feels like forever since I've seen this place," Katy sighed, starting to walk towards the door.

She used to live here apparently.

It felt odd knowing that, and I was a bit bothered and mad about it.

She knocked on the door, my hands slightly shaking at my sides. Katy was so casual about the whole thing.

The door was opened by the green haired guy Luke lived with and he looked extremely irritated when he saw me.

He suddenly gasped when his eyes fell on Katy, who just smiled at him.

"You're alive?" He asked, voice cracking slightly.

She nodded eagerly before pulling him in for a hug.

He looked at me as they hugged.

I don't like her, he mouthed.

Me either, I mouthed back.

"Great to see you again," Michael sighed, pushing Katy off of him.

"Yeah," Katy sighed.

"Is Luke home?" I asked.

"He's asleep," Michael yawned.

"Still?" Katy whined.

"It's ten in the morning, of course," Michael scoffed, running a hand through his hair.

"He always did wake up late," Katy said, clearing her throat and glared at me.

"Can you tell him that Lacey wants to see him?" I asked politely, trying to act mature unlike Katy.
