LACEY'S POV:
Thirty minutes into the session and this Katy girl still hadn't showed up.

I had doodled on tons of papers, scribbling really, and now the bin besides my desk was filled with crumpled sheets of paper.

Ashton wouldn't even look at me after he showed me his arm, so we called it a day.

The patient that was supposed to come obviously was not going to show up, so I got comfortable until the next session.

Sitting on the couch, head dangling off the couch as my legs shot upward was the most comfortable I could get.

Everything looked so out of place while upside down.

The desk looked like it was hovering on the ceiling.

When I began to feel light headed, I sat down properly; legs crossed as I waited.

Ten minutes until the next session.

My eyes shot towards the door as it opened.

No.

There she stood; light brown hair up in a bun, dressed in the uniforms we were ordered to wear, as she stared back at me with cold eyes.

"I-is that you?" I asked, standing up and slowly walking towards the girl.

"You," Katy whispered, glaring at me as I walked past her to gain balance on a wall.

"H-how'd you end up h-here?" I asked nervously.

"I wasn't killed luckily," she spat. "They took me in."

"Oh," was all I could manage to say.

~Flashback in italics
"You have to help me in order to live!" Katy yelled.

I froze when I heard gunshots; the loud bangs signifying that our friends were being targeted.

"Pull your shit together!" Katy screamed.

We were in a small shack in the backyard of a house behind the walls.

They caught us as we were leaving and began chasing after us with guns.

"Help me, please. All we need to do is hideout for a while and hopefully they'll leave when they can't find us. Help me block the door."

I dropped the duffel bag I was carrying onto the floor as tears streamed down my face
I wasn't going to make it and neither would she.
"Fine," she huffed and pulled out a journal from her gray backpack.

She glared at me as she wrote inside the book.
"It's your fault if I don't get to see him again," she sniffled.

Him; who's him?

"Check here!" I heard a faint voice speak.

My eyes widened as I saw the handle to the shack begin to shake.

Katy took in deep breaths, hopefully coming up with a way to get out
The girl dropped her backpack besides me and ran towards the door just as it opened.

She crashed into a tall and built figure, they both fell back and I knew I had a chance.

I had a chance to live.
