I see Matt coming out of the woods, and I frown.

What had he been doing in there?

Not making traps for Santa that's for sure. Louie told me once how Scrooge had hated Santa and would set traps every year for him instead of milk and cookies. But since then, Louie had told me they rekindled their friendship.

He was even suppose to have Christmas dinner with us that evening.

So...

What was Matt up too?

I sat at the bay window in Violet's room, the other's have done left, and I said I wanted to be alone for a bit.

They looked like they wanted to argue but... Bless Webby... She made them all follow her out so I can have some peace.

Last night was well...

So emotional for me, and I knew that it didn't have anything to do with being pregnant.

The fact that Louie had given me the best Christmas present ever and even mentioned marriage, made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I had never. NEVER. Felt like this before about anyone before.

I would have thought Louie would have ran off, and not come back for days. Hurt, Angry, and Scared about what he had learned.

But he didn't.

DIDN'T!

I glanced at the box that had Louie's gift in it. I hadn't taken it out since he put it back in and we started making out.

I blush at that as I slowly got up off the bench and walked over to the nightstand. I took the box gently and went back over to sit in the morning sunlight and opened it back up. The sunlight beamed on the diamonds making the tiny space shimmer with a million small tiny dots.

I gently picked it up out of the box and pinned it to my blonde hair, just as I got that sudden gnawing feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I groaned.

This wasn't the baby.

It was my other half of me, the demon half, telling me that zombies were close by.

Seriously?

On Christmas?

Zombies and Santa all in one day.

Who'd have thought?

I slowly got back off the bench, and quickly changed into my hunting camouflaged green outfit, then summoned my bow.

Maybe I can sneak away without ruining the families Christmas. I already ruined their Christmas Eve with me almost killing Matt...

I scowled.

Matt.

I was going to find out what he was doing in those woods before I got back too.

I went to the bedroom door and opened it.

The tracking insistence I have will have no problem finding out where he was, of course, I'd leave my logic and knowledge at home -.

"Louie?" I ask, eyes wide.

Louie smiled sheepishly at me, his one hand into a fist ready to knock. He spotted the hair pin he had given me beamed at me.

"Merry Christmas." He told me.

"Merry Christmas, Lou-Lou." I say back.

Louie made a sour face.

"Lou-Lou?" He asked.
