Athena POV

I have to admit.

I was more excited coming home then I was going to vacation.

I didn't even mind the flight back home because my thoughts were on Lena, Eve, and Liam which kind of distracted me from the shit that I encountered with Zaylen, and the thoughts of Theo...

I hoped Lena did alright with holding down my position of the zombie killings. I had taught her a couple of things before I left on how I usually did it, then, we both went out together and bashed some zombies brains in, and I gotta say, Lena fights way better then I ever could.

I just hope she didn't come across a hoard of zombies or a nest of demons while on the hunt.

That would be bad, and I would feel guilty getting my newly found cousin into danger while I've been safe, and sound, on vacation, with my boyfriend.

Eve.

I wonder how she and Liam held up.

I hope they hadn't been at each other's throats the entire time...

I imaged our house that Uncle Scrooge had given Louie and me as a present -. Catching on fire. Blown up. Sucked into a bottom less pit of no return...

I shuddered.

"You okay, Athy?" Louie asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked over at him, and he was staring at me, probably wondering if I was going to throw up after I finally told him about my fear of heights.

He didn't laugh at me for that, didn't seem mad.

More like...

Surprised.

"I -. I'm fine. Just anxious to get home." I tell him as he grabbed my hand and kissed the top of it before setting as our fingers staying intertwined.

"Yeah? I am too. I've missed Eve." He agrees, as he fiddled with the present he had gotten her before we left Cancun. I smiled at how nervous he looked while holding it.

"I'm sure she'll love it, Lou." I assure him, staring at the tiny box, just about the size of the box that held Zehra's wedding ring.

Louie hadn't even told me what was in it.

Wanted both of us to be surprised when Eve opened it.

Louie titled his head towards me and smiled.

The week had seemed to fly by after Dewey purposed to Zehra, and so did the flight home.

Once we touched down at McDuck Manor to pick up Eve I was in better spirits.

We all walked up to the door of our house and Louie opened it and ushered us all inside.

Zehra had kept looking towards me the entire flight, and I just knew she wanted to ask me about Zaylen, but I just -. I can't bring myself to tell her. Or Louie.

I needed to talk to someone about this.

Liam?

He and I seemed to be on the same wave link when it came to the demon realm.

He grew up there so maybe he can -.

"Mommy!" Eve shouted once we entered the door.

I froze when I see Eve no longer a two week old baby, but now a five-year-old, wearing a jumper, and pig tails.

Dewey, Zehra, and Louie were staring at her as she ran up to me and jumped, wrapping her arms around my neck to hold herself and me up.

"Eve! What -?" I managed to gasp out, as Liam came out of the kitchen, he was wearing an apron and looked like he had been cooking with flour all over his hair and face.
