I feel my face get hot as Louie grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the dining room.

Finish tonight?

I hadn't expected to fuck my boyfriend in the KITCHEN. He must have been really missing me today. It at least took my mind off of what Emma had told me, at least, for a brief minute. But as we all sat around the table, Louie beside me, Zehra in front of me in between Dewey and Matt. I started to get that anxiety feeling in my chest.

Zehra was made to destroy succubus's like her... Like...

Me.

Did that mean she would have too -.

"Hello, there, Athena." Said a gentle voice from behind me.

I jump slightly and look, but it's just Santa.

"Um... He - Hello." I stammer, he sat beside me and that made me nervous.

Did he even have a clue about what I was?

Louie seemed to have read my thoughts and grabbed my hand from under the table and squeezed it to assure me that it's alright.

"Been a bit busy this year, haven't you." He stated.

I know he is just trying to make conversation but I tense up at the comment.

Busy?

If you count murdering half of your co-workers, raping random men, killing your rapist and your step-mother, bombing McDuck Manor and surrendering the McDuck's homeless for the Holidays, then finding out you were meant to kill Zombies, then finding out you are pregnant with your rapist's child...

Yeah.

"I -. Kind of." I replied, and stared down at my food.

"Killing zombies is a full time job." Louie quipped up, coming to my rescue.

Santa looked towards Louie rather amused.

"Yes. I would assume so. I'd like to thank you for that -. Athena." He told me.

I blink and look up at him.

Thank me?

Nobody has even -.

"I take it running off even during the Holiday to kill zombies must not be easy for you." Santa told me.

I see Zehra look over in our direction in surprise, and I avoided her gaze. I can't look at her the same way again, knowing what I had learned about her.

"No. It's not. But someone has got to do it." I tell him.

Santa nodded, and stroked his beard.

"Here." He said, and handed me a small box, about the same size Louie had given me the night before. I take it and stare at the red and green wrapping paper. I glance up at him in surprise. I really didn't expect anything, from anyone this Christmas.

Never had.

Mine have always been spent in the torture chamber with my step-mother.

Zehra and Dad would be together at home, thinking she and I were getting Christmas presents for them. But in reality....

I blink back tears that had suddenly threatened to fall.

"Th - Thank you." I stammer not sure what I should do with it.

"Open it." Louie whispered to me.

I nod and quickly opened the present. I can tell every single pair of eyes were on me. But at that point I didn't even feel my usual claustrophobic self.
