I must have fallen asleep while holding Eve after I got done feeding her because the next thing I knew I was being gently shook awake by Louie.

I open my eyes and yawn.

Eve squirmed in my arms, she had also been asleep, but woken up to the sound of my voice.

"L -. Louie?" I say, sleepily, "W - What time is it?" I ask looking around, it was completely dark out now.

The sun had just been sitting when I had came home.

"About four in the morning." Louie said softly, he looked down at Eve's eyes and smile. "You know -. You guys remind me of a sunrise and sunset the way you two look alike." He tells me.

My heart skipped a beat.

"Really?" I ask.

Louie nods.

"Yeah." He answers, and I can see his cheeks turning a tiny shade of pink.

I study him for a minute.

"What?" Louie asked, seeing the look on my face, but he was grinning.

"If we are comparing our features to the skies. I was trying to figure out what you'd be." I tell him, truthfully.

Louie hummed and held out his arms to hold Eve. I hesitated at first, but then handed her over to him. Eve blew a raspberry at Louie who did the same and tickled her belly making her shriek with laughter.

I smile at the sight.

Louie really does well with Eve. Even though he is young. I just wished -. It could stay like this....

But I know deep in my heart it can't.

I glanced sideways at the small bookshelf where we keep all of Eve's baby books that I had gotten from Violet at the baby shower. Hidden away behind them was where I kept Mom's diary. I've been re-reading and adding my own entries in it ever since I had Eve.

I put down what I thought about this prophecy.

About how both zombies, and demons can't co-exist together in the mortal realm.

How Zehra (though not mentioned by name) is the one to rid the mortal world of them. How my daughter was the Savior of my race because we are the last of our kind. Me. Emma. Theo. Liam and Eve. All the last of our race of demons. How Eve will have to submit to Emma with her being of royal blood, and I -. I was just half-demon. I wasn't suppose to be what I was. Half-Demon. It's a vile thing among our race.

I've written down what I would want Eve to know once I was no longer here. Because I was NOT going to hand her over to Emma. I'd rather die by Zehra then hand her over.

"Athy." Louie whispers, making me jump slightly. I look back at him. He was staring at me again, with worry and concern. "Why don't you take a shower? I'll watch Eve. Okay?" He asks.

I slowly stand up and wince when my body cracks.

"Y -. Yeah. Okay. Thanks. Louie." I say, and give him a small peck on the cheek, look down at Eve and rubbed the side of her cheek before I left the room.

It took me no more then ten minutes to clear my head and clean myself up. Just as I was heading back to the nursery my cellphone rang.

I took it out an answered it.

Who could be calling me at four in the morning?

"Hello?" I whisper, not wanting Louie to hear me. I stay in the hallway, close to the nursery door.
