ATHENA POV
I think I'm going crazy.
I don't know if it is because of the stress, or the worry for Zehra, or the fact that I hadn't hardly eaten in days and I need to because of the baby.
But...
I think am seeing Theo.
But that isn't possible. He's dead.
DEAD!
Right?"
I groan as I get out of bed, and started for the kitchen for a glass of water.
It's in the middle of the night and Louie had gone to his room, angry and upset since Doofus showed up.
I had thought about going to his room but with Auntie Beakley keeping an eye out at night for things like that I thought better of it.
So instead I went to my own room.
Scrooge insisted I stay here even after I blew up his home. Saying his mother would have done the same for his niece and nephew if it had been the other way around.
How Scrooge was able to befriend a demon like my mother was beyond me, but I was thankful none the less. Just something else I need to thank Mom once I met up with her in the afterlife, because, let's face it, with the way things were going I doubt I've have that long to live, after the baby is born.
Just more added stress that I don't really need.
I sigh deeply and turned on the lights to the kitchen, and got out a glass and ran some water. As I filled up the cup and turn around I almost jump out of my skin at who was sitting at the table... IN THE DARK.
"Hello, Athena." Doofus said, and smirked at me as I almost spill my water.
"Doofus - You scared me!" I squeaked,
"I tend to do that to certain people." Doofus replied, almost apologetically. He motions for me to sit. I hesitated but slowly slid into the chair in front of him. "Tell me. How are you and Llewellyn holding up?" He asks,
"F- Fine." I stammer, wondering where he was going with this as I took a sip of my water.
"How about you? I take it the baby takes up most of your thoughts. I do hope Llewellyn isn't feeling to neglected by that." Doofus told me.
I nearly choke on my water.
"Wait -. How do you -?"
Doofus scoffed.
"I have eyes and hears everywhere, Athena, and I mean -. Everywhere." He said, and raised an eyebrow.
I stare at him.
"Hope he's better at raising that kid with you better then he is in bed." Doofus added.
I feel my cheeks burn with embarrassment.
"Then again," He said as he got up and stood behind me, he leaned in so close next to my ear that I could feel his hot breath on my neck and his one hand travel across my collar bone, making me feel a mixture of hotness and coldness at the same time. "Why not come to my bed and compare us. You may change your mind on who you'd want to be your life partner." He whispered.
I was ashamed to feel heat between my legs at his words.
I close my eyes.
NO!
I can't do that to Louie!
I shouldn't even be letting Doofus touch me the way he was as his hand traveled lower, and stopping at my folds between my legs.
