Chapter 79 - Athena -Valentines Day Speical Part 1

LOUIE POV

That was a nice moment Zehra and I had.

Really.

I REALLY needed that.

Now it's time to put my plan into action.

I only allowed Eve to have this party so I could use it as a smoke screen to go to the demon realm without the hassle of my family finding out.

Point one for Louie.

The only thing I need to work on now is getting Liam's help to getting there. Since only DEMONS can open a portal to the demon realm.

Matt wasn't going to help. As long as he protects Eve that's all I care about.

Liam is the only other demon I know who had grown up there. Sure it had been a long time ago. But I KNOW he'll help me. Because I'm NOT living another day without Athena.

I came down stairs with Zehra.

Apparently Eve was having her party at the manor considering it was a bigger place then ours. She wanted it to be a ball type party so she begged Uncle Scrooge.

Of course he caved in.

Just one puppy dog pout from Eve and she had EVERYONE hooked around her little finger.

Including me.

I scowl at the Valentine's Day decorations that hung from the massive ballroom.

I had forgotten.

Today was Valentine's Day.

Zehra looks over at me at the sound and her face is full of sympathy.

But what SHE know?

She still has the love of HER life with her.

Unlike me...

I look away from her towards my daughter who was busy helping Matt hang up a Valentine's Day banner that had been decorated in red, pink, and purple hearts along with TONS of glitter and small little heart shaped candies that had different saying on them like "Be Mine," or "LUV U," and XOXO glued onto it with icing.

I walked up to Eve and planted a kiss on top of her head. She turned and smiled at me.

"Dad! EVERYONE is coming. Including Uncle Huey!" She exclaimed excitedly.

Huey.

Hadn't seen him since Eve's birthday party.

He and Violet had went out scouting for minerals and such like that since then. Trying to kill the last of the zombies and demons that wouldn't be coming back to life or through a portal since Athena left.

My stomach knotted in quilt.

WHEN I bring Athena back all that will stop.

It will be just like before.

None stop fighting and I'd hardly see Athena what with her duties of killing them would interrupt her daily life.

But I push that guilt deep down.

I was determined to get Athena back. If not to ease my own broken heart, but for Eve. Who needed her mother more then ever right now for what was to come.

Call me selfish.

Whatever.

I don't care.

"That's wonderful, sweetie." I said, I gave her a hug and looked over at Matt, our eyes locked.

He knew what I was up too. But he wasn't going to stop me. NO one can stop a Duck once they set their minds to something.
