Chapter 71- Zehra

MATT POV

Welp. Zehra woke up, she's getting better, but she needs to take it slow, and we're not letting her use her powers.

Liam's been checking on her a lot, but Dewey keeps kicking him out... (Not like that stops him).

Eve is starting school tomorrow. She went shopping with Violet to get everything. And Eve says Louie can't pick her up.

Why? You may ask? Well... he should be in school.

Imagine this:

Louie drives up to the school to pick up Eve. Her friends ask her who that is. She tells them it's her dad, and they make fun of her for "lying". Then they'll think Louie is her boyfriend- etc, etc.

She wants to walk home, but fuck that idea. She'll be more exposed. And we DON'T want that.

I asked Liam to go to school with her to keep an eye on her and I swear he looked utterly DiSgUsTeD. 

"Uh- No. Why? No. EW! NO! WHYYYYY! Not good enough. Go yourself!" 

But then he left...

So now I have to go to school. 

I don't want to.

It SUCKS.

Home-school was more fun, but Louie's a bitch and biased, so he's sending his ABNORMALLY SMART DAUGHTER T SCHOOL!

I left school at a young age... there are no records of me. I will most likely be a threat...

Zehra says going to school will be good for me. I'll make "friends."

I don't need friends. All they've ever done was let me down...

Well, let's hope I get a good nights sleep tonight...

Oh, heh. We aren't going to the dream realm anymore...

LOUIE POV

I was still in Eve's room, staring at the spot where the portal had appeared.

I couldn't stop picturing her, all bloodied, and bruised, by -.

A low growl escapes my throat.

He was HURTING the woman I LOVE!

Eve's MOTHER!

What had complied Eve in such a state just then -.

I hadn't a clue.

The way Eve acted, and made an actual portal to HELL.

It must have been something bad.

I hear the door open behind me.

"Dad." Came Eve's voice.

I didn't move, didn't even look behind me as I feel her wrap her arms around my shoulders.

I tense up when she buries her face in my shoulder and start to cry. Her tears soaking my sweater.

"It -. It's going to be okay. Eve." I tell her, trying to reassure myself more then her.

"Mom -." Eve choked out. "Did -. Did she even WANT me? Is that why she REALLY left? Because she couldn't stand me reminding her of -. HIM?" She asked, in a whisper.

I look over at her sharply she didn't lift her head from my shoulder, probably couldn't bare to see a disappointed look from me.
