LOUIE POV **SMUT WARNING***

Okay. Don't get me wrong. I love Athena. I really do. But when she doesn't communicate with me, I can't help her, and if I can't help her, how and I ever going to protect the two most important girls in my life?

Little Eve is going to need her mother more then ever as she's getting older by the second, and I'm no demon to help Eve out on the important stuff demon kids need to learn!

I feel blood drain from my face when I picture Eve as a teenager, her going through awful phases and getting into God knows what with boys...

I shudder.

Then again, why she keeps saying Matt over and over I still don't know.

That's the thing.

Athena and I have quit communicating!

We've been so distant ever since she had Eve.

Our sex life isn't all great.

I hate to admit that Dewey was right when he said I was jealous of them.

Getting to make love to the woman you love whenever you want?

What guy wouldn't want that?

I dunno.

Go find one and ask, cause I don't know.

It's all stupid Matt's fault.

Stupid Theo's fault, and stupid Doofus's fault.

I was going to do something about all three of them.

But first thing is first, and that was the closest thing that was within reach I can get too.

Doofus Drake.

I stare up at the lavish tree house I had hoped I'd never have to step in again.

I close my eyes and steadied my breathing as images of what Athena and I once had before her suicide attempt, before Eve, before...

I opened my eyes and narrowed them at the door.

Doofus.

A low growl escaped from my throat as I slowly began to walk up to it.

I had grabbed something before I left.

No one knows I even have one, but -.

Aunt Goldie had taught me how to use one once I had turned sixteen, and ever since then I have kept one close by just in case.

As I place a hand to the doorknob of the door I felt someone behind me. I gripped what I had hidden in my jacket hoodie tightly before slowly turning around to face a guy in a skeleton mask while the rest of his outfit was black.

I scoffed.

Not at all scared at all by his appearance.

"Hate to break it to you, dude. But Halloween was months ago." I tell him.

The guy remained silent and I sensed he was studying me, and it was a few minutes more before he spoke.

"It's not worth it, you know." He told me.

I blinked, and clinched my jaw at his remark.

"What isn't worth it?" I ask.

My eyes never leaving the skeleton mask and my hand never leaving the inside of my jacket pocket.

"Not to subject yourself to him." The guy said, jerking his thumb up towards the tree house. "You and Athena are drifting apart. Yes?" He asked.

I stared at him.
