Chapter 49 - Vacation Part 4

ATHENA POV

After a day at the beach, Louie and I headed back to the hotel with Dewey and Zehra, holding hands and leaning on each other.

I don't know how I can keep the proposal from her.

I'm keep so many secrets already!

Louie tells me while watching the two at the beach that Dewey plans to do it near the end of our vacation.

So I had to wait...

A WHOLE week to be able to talk about it with her.

I'm having enough trouble keeping the secrets I already have! I just sense that Zerha already knows something is up with me as we filed into the lobby of the hotel. Both she and Dewey were already dry, and I was already tired, from doing NOTHING!

Louie, however, the minute he heard the sounds of a casino inside the hotel...

His eyes lit up and I could swear I saw dollar signs in them as he looked over at me hopefully.

I sighed.

"As long as Dewey or Zehra watch you." I tell him, glancing over at Dewey.  "I'm a bit tired, and need to take a nap." I explained.

Zehra looks at me with more concern but I shake my head at her.

I had been getting a headache ever since we landed here in Cancun, and I get this eerie feeling that I was being watched.

I said I wouldn't cause trouble on this trip, and I meant it.

Whatever was going on with me since we got here...

I had to deal with it on my own.

"Fine." Dewey says, with a groan. "We have things we have to take care of anyway." He said, giving Zehra a peck on the cheek as Louie did the same with me and ran off towards the casino.

I grabbed Dewey's arm and yanked him back. "Try not to let him get too addicted." I pleaded with Dewey, making him gently remove his arm from my grip as he smiled and shake his head, "Nah... Wouldn't dream of it." He replied and as he walked causally off after his younger brother.

As I turned to head back to mine and Louie's room we shared I thought I saw someone at the bar near the back of the lobby.

I stared at the face I knew all to well, I took a couple steps back and bumped into Zehra knocking us both down with her catching me before I slammed into her.

"Sissy -. What's wrong?" She asks, looking towards where I was staring, but seeing nothing.

I see him and he takes a drink and look directly into my eyes before I take that moment say calmly -.

"N, Nothing. It -. It's -." But I couldn't get the words out before I find the nearest trash can and started to vomit  inside it.

Because the person who I seen at the bar couldn't possibly be here.

Right?

Theo.

You couldn't have come back from the demon realm.

Unless something has happened...

Right?

Theo?

I think, even though I was terrified if he answered me just then the answer I didn't want to hear.

ZEHRA POV

Athena walks off before I can ask any more questions. I study her as she walks off...

Is she okay? Does Eve worry her THAT much? If I didn't catch her, she would've really gotten hurt!
