LOUIE POV

I didn't bother Liam right away, he seemed to have been busy, with this love triangle he had going on with Dewey and Zehra.

I dunno.

Why did I get the feeling it was more then a love triangle and that Liam had imprinted with Zehra?

He was a DEMON after all.

Could explain a lot about him and I've been around Matt and Eve long enough to know the signs of an imprint and when someone is keeping secrets.

So I left him alone.

For now.

I needed to go home and think of a plan on how I am going to rescue Athena once I get to the demon realm.

That's what I was doing, sitting, staring into space in the kitchen thinking of a plan when Matt and Eve come through the door, they seemed to have been BICKERING not ARGUING.

I blink when I heard my name and look over at them.

"You say something, Matt." I snap at him.

He looked over at me, seeming surprised that I was home, and then back at Eve nervously.

I study my daughter who avoided my eyes by looking down and fiddling with the locket I had given her before looking back up and smiling sheepishly at me.

"Um..Daddy." She began. "Here's the thing."

I groan loudly and narrowed my eyes.

Here we go.

"I- I would like to have... A party and -" She began. "for- for some friends of mine I made today-"

"Absolutely NOT." I growl and stood up so quickly, that I made the chair fall to floor, and Matt flinch at the loud sound it made.

Eve; however, stood her ground and rolled her shoulder as I came up to her looking so much like her mother and a royal all at the same time that it made me freeze.

"I'm having a party. Dad." She told me firmly.

I opened my mouth to protest.

She may be a princess, and may be a teenager but she is still MY daughter.

I glare over at Matt who shifted nervously beside Eve, his tail now visible was wrapped around Eve's waist protectively.

As if I would hurt my own daughter?

HIM I might.

But NOT Eve.

Never Eve.

"You put her up to this. didn't you." I snarl at him.

He held up his hands, in defense and glared back at me.

"I tried talking her out of the party. Thank-you very much." Matt shot back at me.  "I didn't even WANT to go to school in the first place, because of THIS." He added, crossing his arms, and I could tell he was trying hard not to punch my lights out in front of Eve.

"Daddy." Eve said, making us both shut up and look over at her. "I could have SNEAKED and threw a party behind your back - but I didn't. I TOLD you instead. So please, I'm asking you this time. Can we have a party? If it will make you feel better you, Auntie Zerha, Uncle Dewey, Huey, and the rest can be there to 'supervise,' us." She told me, using air quotes around supervise.

I thought about it.

Was I scared for this party for Eve?

Yes.
