Chapter 51- Vacation Part 6

ZEHRA POV

I laugh and hold onto Dewey, glancing at my ring once in a while. I still can't believe what just happened...

People keep coming up to us to congratulate us, but...

Did it really just happen?! 

Did I ACTUALLY get proposed to?!

I turn my attention to Athena, and see she's talking with Zaylen.

They're not fighting... and it doesn't seem like she needs help...

Fuck it.

I grab Louie's hand and don't even pay attention to the weird look he's giving me, and Dewey's jealous glare.

"Zehra?" Louie starts, following me as I lead us to Athena. "What are you-"

He stops when he sees Athena glaring at Zaylen. 

"What's up with them....?" He whispers. 

I let go of him and study the scene. "I... don't know."

We watch Zaylan running his mouth and Athena forcing herself not to yell at him. What are they talking about?!

"Do we interfere?" Louie asks, his voice a bit hurt that Athena hasn't noticed him there yet.

I shake my head. "No. She's strong... I'm sure she can handle herself. And plus, Zaylan wouldn't try anything with all these people here."

That wasn't smart of me to say...

Louie grips my shoulders and forces me to look at him.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'TRY ANYTHING'?! WHAT WOULD HE DO?!" 

I struggle out of his grip (which is bruising me right now...), but fail. "Nothing! I mean spiking her drink!" 

He relaxes at that and lets me go. "Sorry." 

I nod, but don't mean it. Hesitantly... I look at my shoulders. 

Louie's hand prints stain my skin in a ugly purple and red.

Yep. Bruised. 

Damn, Lou. Why you gotta be so strong?! IT HURTS!

I look back at my sister, Louie then walk back to my boyfri-

Fiance...

I smile, remembering what happened...

Dewey sits on the couch in the front of the hotel, tapping his foot impatiently. "Uh- What was that?" He ask when I walk up to him. "You can't just leave me like that!"

As an apology, I give him a quick kiss, which makes him even madder. "REALLY?! THAT'S IT?!"

I roll my eyes and give him a longer one, which turns to a make-out session. When we pull away he smiles.

"Good girl. But we can do better..." He says caressing my thigh. 

I give him a look that says, 'Don't even think about it.'

He groans. "Later..." He says, gripping my chin.

it's not that I don't want sex, I do- believe me I do! It's just that I'm worried about Athena...

What were she and Zaylen talking about?

Ugh, I'm probably being over dramatic. 

I trust her... She's strong, and knows how to defend herself...

I smile at the ring on my hand and lean my head on my fiance's shoulder, as he rests his head on mine. We cuddle together on the couch, looking at my ring.

"You ready to be a 'Duck'?" Dewey whispers in my ear.

I blush at the feeling and my smile grows wider. "Hell yeah."

He chuckles and shakes his head. "I love you."

I close my eyes at the words and feel the ring on my finger. "I love you, too."

We stay like that, and little did I know, we'd fall asleep like that...

--LATER--

"PSST!" I open my eyes to see Dewey shaking me awake. "We gotta go!!" He pulls me up.

I groan and close my eyes. "Noooo..."

He sighs. "I WOULD carry you, but the security guard will think I murdered you."

I groan and get up. We try to avoid the stares but we fail and die of laughter.

Finally, we make it the the room, and we see Louie and Athena snuggled together in their own bed, and I whisper an "awe!!", making Dewey cover my mouth with his hand as he slowly pulls me into our bed.

Before long we fall sleep.

I have to say, I wan't expecting tonight.

Getting engaged?! WHAT THE HELL?! It was DEFINITELY a surprise, but a nice one....!

I love Dewey so much. Best way to propose EVER!

I hope everyone is okay at home...

But I trust them all. They BETTER not hurt my niece! I'll kill them. Who ever they are. Whether it be Scrooge, Auntie, Goldie, Liam, Webbs, Hue, Vi, Lena- WHO EVER! 

No one touches my niece.

I wonder when Dewey and I will...

No. Ahhh! Not yet... We're not even married, and I'm thinking about having a child?! 

Ah, I'm good. Let's stick with condoms. 

Just for a while longer...
