A week had gone by of Alex and Ron passive aggressively avoiding each other. They would sometimes try to hang out, and it would be really good, really lovey dovey or they would fight. Fight about Cole and Julianna. It was exhausting being around each other but they were also trying to make it work. When they did spend time together, they mostly had sex, to fill the void of not knowing how to act around each other.

Their relationship was different, and neither of them could figure out why. They loved each other, so much, but it wasn't feeling the same. Ron distanced himself from Alex and that hurt. Alex was just trying to make her relationship work and Alex felt that since school had started, there was a wedge between them. Alex didn't like it one bit.

Alex noticed as well that Hermione and Nathan had been hanging out a lot, alone, and she made a mental note to ask one of them about it.

Currently, Alex sat in the library with Hermione and Harry doing schoolwork.

"Can they shut up and stop giggling and fawning over you Harry? It's annoying!" Hermione exclaimed sending a pointed look to the group of three girls all eyeing Harry being obnoxiously loud.

"Hermione, it's fine, just a little attention from the ladies." Harry said blushing.

"You shouldn't want any attention from any ladies when your girlfriend is at Hogwarts." Hermione said to him as he sent her a look back.

"You mean Ginny?"

"Who else would I mean?"

"Ginny and I aren't together, together. We decided to remain just friends while we both stay at different schools. We are both completely single." Harry explained to the girls as they both nodded.

"At Least he's not doing anything shady, Hermione, let's leave it alone." Alex sighed at the girl just as Hermione was about to rebuttal Harry's statement.

"There's a party tonight, in the beauxbaton tower. Did you guys want to go?" Harry asked the girls as Hermione nodded, agreeing while Alex shook her head no.

"What? Alexandra Wood turning down a party?" Hermione fake gasped.

"Trust me, I would love nothing more but I have so much homework. These classes are killing me." She groaned as her friends laughed.

"Come on Alex, it's only friday, you have until monday for all your work." Harry tried to persuade her.

"I really can't, I'm sorry guys. Take a shot for me." She giggled at them as they both agreed too.

It was now night time and Alex sat in her room studying, working on assignments and just drowning in schoolwork. She hated this. She sighed while rereading the same page in her textbook for the fifth time as her brain was not retaining it. Hermione, Ron, Harry and Luna had all gone to the party a few hours ago and Alex was getting serious fomo but she knew she had to study hard.

Suddenly, a loud knock on her door was heard. She walked over to open the door to see a slightly drunk Ron standing there.

"Ron? Come in." She told him, opening the door wider for him as he walked in and sat on her bed.

"Alex, what are we doing here?" Ron asked her.

"What do you mean?" She asked, sitting on Hermione's bed across from him.

"I love you so much, but does it feel the same? Does this feel the same?" Ron asked her.

"Ron you're drunk, please don't say anything you will regret in the morning." She pleaded with him.
