The month of April had whizzed by, and the students had one last week left, all just exams. Alex spent a majority of her month hanging out with her friends while studying as much as she could. She was glad that Cole had left her alone but she did miss Isaac and Johnny. She spent a lot of time reforming her platonic friendship with Ron, making her realize how truly important he was in her life and made them both realize how miserable they both were without one another for months.
Hermione had noticed how close Ron and Alex had been, again, and she made a mental note of bringing it up to Alex because for ex's, they seemed pretty close.
The last day of exams, Friday, consisted of an end of year ball that everyone was expected to attend, as well as the graduation ceremony that would happen on the Saturday, making everyone forced to be packed and ready by Sunday.
The friends were excited, another school year finished, now all being let out to now live their life in the regular wizarding worlds, expected to get married, have kids and work these crazy jobs. Alex especially was nervous, as if she didn't do well on her exams she would be forced to start at basic training for the job she wants, if she got E's or O's, she got to skip levels 1-5 for training and start off with level 6, saving her time and effort.
Alex had spent the entire weekend before the first exam, cooped up in the library with Draco, desperately needing to memorize the plenty of ingredients for potions as well as the correct steps for each, while also memorizing important textbook information, studying very late until Draco had to practically force Alex to go back to her dorm to sleep.
Monday morning, Alex nervously walked to her exam, before taking the seat next to Draco.
"You look like you didn't get any sleep and are nervous as shit." He laughed at her.
"Because i didn't get any sleep, i stayed up all night studying." Alex told him, resting her head in her hand.
"Well you'll be fine, you know your potions." Draco told her as the Professor came in.
"I sure hope so." Alex sighed, starting the exam.
Alex passed both of her Monday and Tuesday exams with flying colours, or so she felt. She felt confident leaving both of them, and she currently sat in the common room Tuesday evening studying for her charms class with Ron and Harry.
"Can we take a break? I can't read any more charms!" Ron groaned out as Alex giggled at him.
"We've only been studying for like, 2 hours!" Alex yelled at him as they both gave her wide eyed looks.
"Who are you?" Ron gasped out as Harry laughed at the two.
"Okay fine, 5 minute break." Alex finally sighed, closing her book as the two boys cheered.
"So, Ron, who are you taking to the end of year ball?" Harry asked him as Ron shrugged.
"I'm not sure, I don't even want to think about it when I have so many other exams coming up." Roan groaned, throwing his head back.
"Who are you going with Harry?" Alex asked him.
"I'm going with an american girl, Hannah." Harry told them as they both nodded.
"What are we talking about?" Hermione asked, walking into the room to sit with them.
"The ball." Alex told her.
"Ah yes, makes it feel like we're back in Hogwarts huh? The Yule ball?" Hermione asked as everyone nodded.
"Hermione, who are you going with?" Ron asked as Hermione's face tinged a light red.
