Chapter Thirty Nine

"Dearies!" Molly yelled excitedly as the five friends all made their way through the fireplace before she ran over, engulfing each teen in a hug.

"Mum! How've you been?" Ron asked as he gave Molly a huge hug back.

"Im good dearie! I've missed you bunch. So Hermione you'll be rooming with Ginny, Harry you'll be with Ron and Alex and Nathan will share Percy and Charlie's room as neither of them will be coming for Christmas." Molly explained as everyone nodded.

"Are Bill and Fleur coming?" Hermione asked, to which Molly nodded. "Charlie has to stay with the dragons and well Percy's..." Molly trailed off.

"Percy's left us to celebrate with the Clearwater's!" Fred yelled from behind her as the twins, Ginny and Arthur came into view, causing everyone to run over quickly saying Hi to everyone.

"Freddie! Georgie! I've missed you both!" Alex said quickly, bringing them in for hugs.

"Us too Alex, can't wait to hear all about your time at this new fancy school." Fred chuckled as George nodded, agreeing.

"Alex!" Ginny quickly called, pulling her in for a hug as Alex quickly wrapped her arms around the redhead.

After all the greetings, Nathan and Alex were putting their bags in their room when Fred, George and Ginny came into the room, sitting on their beds while they started unpacking.

"So, how's it going with you and Ron?" Ginny asked, giving her a large smile.

"Uh, try not together." Nathan said rolling his eyes as the redheads gasped.

"What? Why not?" George asked.

"We broke up about two months ago." Alex muttered out.

"And why did you not write me to tell me?" Ginny asked her.

"She was too busy liplocking with some American boy!" Nathan told them with a smirk.

"Shut up Nathan!" She growled at him as he laughed.

"Alex, spill!" Fred said.

"Ron and I just kept fighting and it wasn't going well, he was jealous of a new friend I had made, Cole, and I was jealous of his new friend. I'm not going to get totally into it because that's between Ron and I, and you are his family but we made a mutual decision to break up. He started dating Julianna and Cole and I are casually seeing each other as well." Alex told them as they all nodded.

"Well that sucks, someone has to tell Mum before she brings it up at family dinner." George said with a laugh.

"I'll do it." Ginny said before running out of the room.

"So, how's the joke shop?" Nathan asked the twins as they went all in about how successful they have been, the four friends just catching up before Molly called them down for dinner.

Soon everyone sat around the table eating the meal Molly had prepared for them.

"Dear, when is Bill and Fleur coming?" Arthur asked.

"Tomorrow, they are only sleeping over for Christmas Eve, then heading back home Christmas night. They have plans for New Years." Molly explained.

"Oh yes, what are you kids doing for New years? Anything exciting?" Arthur asked as everyone shrugged, not really sure.

"Actually uh, a few friends invited us to go to New York City." Alex quietly said.

"NEW YORK?" Molly yelled before continuing, "Oh no no no that is way too far, I don't like that."
