Chapter Forty Six

Hermione sat in her room in the flat she shared with Nathan, reading a book when she heard a soft, almost hesitant knock on her door.

"Come in!" She called out to which Nathan quickly entered, looking rather nervous.

"Nathan? What's wrong?" She asked him, setting down her book.

"I need to speak with you." He said, sitting on the bed next to her.

"Okay go ahead..." Hermione trailed off.

"Hermione Granger, I am in love with you. Before you say anything, let me speak. All throughout Hogwarts, I assumed I was asexual and didnt feel that way about anyone becuase I didnt possess romantic feelings for anyone. You changed that for me. You helped me work through my feelings without even realizing. When I saw you with Krum, I was jealous. When you kissed Isaac at New Years, I was jealous. I couldn't understand why. Until Alex provided me with more definitions that got me thinking. I realized I never had feelings like that for anyone else because I needed a deep connection to truly love someone like that. And that's you. You were there for me when I needed you, you being someone I can trust above all. We like all the same things, I mean, who else will read muggle books with you?" He asked which made her giggle.

"You honestly feel like this?" She wondered which he quickly nodded causing her to sit up straighter before leaning in for a soft and passionate kiss.

"I love you too." Hermione whispered to him before he laughed, tackling her to her bed, peppering more kisses on her face.

Alex and Ron had successfully moved into their home with the help of the Weasleys and their friends. Currently, Ron, Alex, Hermione, Harry, Ginny and Nathan all sprawled around their living room, the Weasleys already leaving after a tiresome day.

"Well, you guys are officially an old married couple, living in this home together." Nathan joked before wrapping an arm around Hermione, bringing her closer which caused all their friends to gape at them as Hermione let out a giggle.

"Oh yeah... were together now." Nathan said so nonchalantly as everyone cheered for them.

"Only a matter of time, we've known for months." Alex said, giggling at the look Hermione and Nathan both shot her.

"Well we're happy for you both." Ginny said, offering them a smile that was returned.

"Wow, look at us. We really kept it in the friend group huh?" Harry joked as everyone chuckled before resting in a comfortable silence.

"Do you guys want to sleepover? We turned one bedroom upstairs into a guest room, and then this couch folds out." Alex asked as the other two couples nodded.

"We call dibs on the room upstairs." Nathan quickly said before dragging a giggling Hermione behind him up the stairs.

"Their good for each other, he will make her less tense and she will make him more serious." Ron spoke out as the remaining friends nodded.

"Well, i'm tired so Im going to go to bed." Alex stated, standing up and yawning which Ron quickly followed.

"There's blankets and pillows in the couch as well, see you guys in the morning." Ron told Ginny and Harry before the couple made their way up to their own room, softly shutting the door.

Alex and Ron both silently got ready for bed and changed into pyjamas before laying in bed together.

"First night in our home, what will we do?" Ron said, suggestively raising his eyebrows at the girl causing her to giggle before bringing him in for a long kiss.
