Alex currently sat in the burrow with Molly and Ginny, growing more and more nervous as every second passed as everyone else had gone to fly Harry over here, unannounced, as they knew he who may not be named was avidly hunting for him.
Now that Dumbledore was dead, they all had a mission to destroy Voldemort, and that all started with finding all his Horcruxes without Harry being captured by any death eaters as they were now in charge. They knew they had to destroy his Horcruxes, but the hardest part was finding them.
"I still don't know why I wasn't allowed to go." Alex huffed out as Molly sighed at her antics.
"Alex, you are still sixteen!"
Alex continued to wait anxiously for everyone's arrival and soon she could hear people dropping in. She ran out to see Remus and Sirius both supporting George, who looked like he was in a lot of pain, bleeding profusely out of what used to be his ear.
"They knew we were coming! They ambushed us!" Remus yelled out.
"We have been betrayed, Voldemort knew Harry was being moved tonight." Sirius told her before continuing to the house. They were soon to walk in and help George lay on the couch as Molly quickly sprang into action to help patch him up, ensuring him and everyone else that he would be okay as Alex and Ginny watched with tears in their eyes.
"Georgie... you better not do that again. You scared me!" Alex sighed, giving him a quick hug as he sat up on the couch.
"On it chief, no more ears will be lost." George sarcastically responded, giving her a mock salute. Alex then heard more sounds of people arriving and ran outside to see who it was.
Hermione was in her own form, standing next to Kingsley Shacklebolt and Alex let out a sigh of relief that they were both okay, bringing Hermione in for a hug. The two girls stayed embracing when Hagrid and Harry flew in as well.
"Oh thank god Harry, are you okay?" Hermione asked him, bringing him in for a hug.
"They knew we were coming and they killed Hedwig. She was trying to protect me." Harry cried out as Alex brought him in for a hug to comfort him.
"We should all head inside to get warm while we wait for everyone else." Hermione suggested as she and Harry started walking towards the house.
"Are you coming Alex?" Harry asked her as she shook her head no, "Ron should have been here already, Nathan too."
Hermione and Harry gave her small smiles before walking back into the burrow. Alex watched as Bill and Fleur came in, both perfectly fine, and made their way inside, leaving Alex outside to watch and wait for her friends to return. She started pacing, letting out sighs at the fact that they were taking so long, her mind immediately thinking something was very, very wrong.
She heard a loud thump from behind her as she turned to see Ron and Tonks. Alex let out another sigh of relief before running over to him, throwing her arms around him.
"You scared me!" She scolded him.
"Sorry Alex, we got attacked and if it wasn't for Ron here, he was bloody brilliant first of all, but I also wouldn't be standing here without him." Tonks said as Alex had a small smile on her face, hearing how great and brave Ron was.
"Really?" Alex questioned.
"Always the tone of surprise, hm?" Ron playfully huffed at her as she brought him in for another hug and a quick kiss.
Shortly after, Fred and Arthur both whooshed in, Alex running over to bring Fred in for a hug.
"Everyone back yet?" Fred asked her, releasing from the hug.
