Soon, the friends were all dancing around the dance floor, all with drinks in their hands.

"Come have a drink with me?" Ron asked her as she nodded, following him to the bar where Ron got them both alcoholic beverages which they quickly drank as the two continued to talk, when a slow song came on.

"May I have this dance?" Ron asked her, offering her his hand.

"You may!" She giggled, slipping her hand in his as he led her to the dance floor and quickly put his hands on her hips as she wrapped her hands behind his neck, resting her face against his chest as they swayed around the dance floor, enjoying each others company and the familiarity of being this close with one another.

Ron quickly spun Alex around so she swayed with her back to his front as the two giggled. Nathan, Hermione and Harry watched in awe at them, glad they were back to where they were, able to be each other's friends, slowly welcoming each other back into their lives.

Ron and Alex continued to giggle as they danced with one another, obviously drunk but nonetheless enjoying each other's dance moves. Ron spun Alex out once again as she twirled and accidentally stumbled into someone.

"Oh gosh, I'm sorry." Alex said, quickly turning around but stopping when she saw Cole. Alex rolled her eyes at the presence of the tall blond.

"Oh Alex, here with Ron I suppose?" He drunkenly mocked.

"I am, but what's that to you. Here with Julianna?" She asked back as Ron joined her at her side.

"No, I'm here stag. But of course, I should have guessed that you would go crawling back to Ron." Cole spat.

"Oi! Leave her alone!" Ron quickly defended her, raising his voice at him.

"Did you even love me? Or were you just using me to get over Ron?" Cole slurred at her.

"Of Course I cared for you, you dimwit! I would never use you to get over Ron, remember, you cheated on me! You pursued me!" Alex yelled back at him as Cole rolled his eyes.

"Cole, come on man, leave them alone." Isaac said from behind Cole, offering Alex a small smile before grabbing Coles arm, leading him away from the pair.

"You okay?" Ron asked her, resting one hand on her hip as she nodded.

"Fancy a breather?" She turned to ask him as he nodded, grabbing her hand to lead her out of the busy ballroom and towards a bench on a balcony overseeing the courtyard. They both sat beside each other, purely enjoying the view as Ron drank out of a flash he hid in his pocket.

"You git, share!" Alex laughed as Ron passed the flask and she quickly drank out of it. Her throat burned at the alcoholic beverage. The two sat in silence for almost ten minutes, just passing the flask back and forth until Ron started giggling.

"What are you giggling at?" Alex asked before she drunkenly started giggling along with him.

"What are we doing here?" Ron asked.

"Oh god, last time you said that we broke up." Alex playfully groaned causing Ron to laugh.

"Well, what now? Are we really just friends?" Ron asked her as she felt her face grow hot.

"What do you want to be?" She asked him.

"I think I made a huge mistake when we broke up." Ron sighed as Alex turned her head slightly to look at him.

"Did you now?" Alex asked with a small smirk.

"I did. I didn't think I was good enough for you. I felt like I couldn't provide the life you so deserve. I wanted to protect you and I kept failing." Ron sighed, not making eye contact with the girl as she turned more towards him.
