Nova sat in her white woven sitting hammock. She looked out the window, hoping to see stars in the sky. It was pointless. There wasn't a single constellation in the sky. Not even a star. Nothing was visible through the smog.
She sat in the same clothes she wore at dinner; a grey tie-dye ACDC hoodie, black leggings, and purple fuzzy socks. However, now her gold wire-rimmed glasses as she scanned her notes on werewolf rights. Her caramel hair was tied into a fishtail braid that Ginny taught her how to do. Her blue pen danced across her notebook as she translated the law into simpler terms, making it easier to understand upon quick glance. Her brows furrowed in concentration.
Harry laid on his bed in the room he and Ron shared. It's a fairly simple room but definitely remodeled. Unlike the rest of the house which was dark and gloomy, the room was bright. The wall Harry and Ron's beds were against was a dark blue. The rest of the walls were light grey. Ron's side of the room was already decorated with posters and pictures of his family and friends.
Harry's was blank. He hadn't been here long enough to even think about adding things to the wall.
Silently, Harry moved to his trunk. He opened it with caution, not wanting to wake Ron even though he knew the redhead could sleep through a storm. He moved to grab his photo album from Hagrid, but stopped once he saw something else.
It was a star lamp. He found it in a muggle shop and bought it for Nova.
This, of course, caused the bespectacled green-eyed boy to think of her.
To think of how her messily perfect hair fell slightly past her shoulder blades. To think of her warm honey eyes with flakes of silver. To think of her perfect pink lips. To think of her voice as she spoke about something passionately. To think of her smile. To think of her laugh.
Harry wondered if she was awake.
She's a night owl. Of course she's awake, A voice in Harry's mind said.
Slowly, Harry crept from his room, star lamp in hand. Being careful not to make any noise, he tiptoed to the last room in the corridor.
Nox
Harry hesitantly knocked. He knew why he was nervous, but it was irrational. This is Nova.
Nova was so engrossed in her research, she didn't hear the light knock on the door.
A knock sounded again. This time, a little louder.
Nova heard it this time. She figured her Pa was going to walk in and tell her to go to sleep. That the knock was just a warning. However, nobody came in.
Harry turned away from the door with a frown.
Nova wondered who was at her door if not her Pa. Gracefully, like a cat, Nova walked across her room. Quietly, she stuck her head out to see who was there.
The door opened just as Harry turned to leave.
"Harry?" Nova's soft voice called confused.
Green eyes met honey ones. Both let their eyes wander down the other's body, taking in their features. Of course they saw each other earlier, but they barely spoke.
Harry had grown nearly four inches. He is the second tallest our of the Quartet, standing only two inches shorter than Ron (a/n Harry is actually 5'11" to 6' in the books, which is what I am going off of . . .although we love our short king, Daniel Radcliff). His hair was, per usual, unruly and darker than ink. His eyes were what Nova loved the most. Emerald green eyes. Unusual and peculiar, but magnificent. Nova knew under his shirt, she'd find a toned stomach and arms from Quidditch.
