"Wanna go for a walk?" I ask Thandi.
"Okay." She says then I hold her hand.
"You've been quiet. Whatsup?" I ask.
"Nothing. Nawe you weren't speaking mos." She says.
(Nothing. You also weren't speaking either)
"So if I'm quiet, you won't speak to me?" I ask.
"I will." She says.
We reach a bench and she seats next to me. I change my position and face her.
"What's wrong. You honestly acting different." I say then she shakes her head.
I tickle her sides then she just tells me to stop.
"You see, now I know for sure some is not right. Please talk to me." I plead with her.
"Why are you speaking to me?" She asks. Wtf.
"Cause I want to. Is there something wrong with that?" I ask.
"No, there isn't, but Aviwe I'm not an idiot. You not just tryna speak." She says then I nod my head.
"Maybe you right, but I'm not just tryna get through to you then forget about you either." I say.
"So what are you tryna do?" She asks.
"Well I'm tryna get to know you and enjoy your company. Hoping we could be friends?" I say then she looks at me then looks down.
"Cause Aviwe I've been through this shit way too many times, and I'm not tryna go through it again." She says then I nod my head.
"Okay. Lemme ask you this... What do you want from me?" I ask then she looks away.
I hold her chin and gently turn her head around so she can look at me.
"I don't know." She says.
"You know what I think?" I ask then she looks at me with a questionable expression.
"I think, you know what you want from me, but is scared cause I might not want the same thing." I say. As she is about to talk I carry on.
"And the crazy thing is, we might be wanting the same things right now." I say.
"But the way you acting, is telling me something different." She says.
"Ayt then, Imma start acting differently." I say then she looks at me.
"Don't you wanna turn your whole body instead of moving your head all the time?" I ask then she lets out a small laugh and turns her body.
"I may be going through things and feel like I don't know where I'm going in the dating route, but I'm not here to use you." I say.
"Okay. Cause just last year, you didn't even know me." She says.
"And I'm the idiot for not seeing you sooner." I say then she laughs.
"And if I was using you, I would have most probably given up by now cause you a hard nut to crack." I say then we laugh.
"Don't ever be sad over that shit, cause you wayyy to beautiful to be doing that." I say then she smiles.
"Damn. And that smile, it's a killer." I say.
"Okay stop flirting." She says then I laugh.
"Ahhh, if I don't flirt I'm doing it wrong." I say then she laughs.
I move closer to her then see her looking at me.
"Wanna go get food?" I ask then she looks at me blankly.
