Chapter 72

We arrived at the party and earlier I had gotten the driver that drove us here to go fetch Phindile and soon she was gonna meet us here and leave the party with us. She was not gonna be allowed to get in without an invitation anyways so she'd have to get here when we leave.

So the evening was good and we got our certificates and all now we were just saying our goodbyes cause I might not see the others after tonight.

I got a call from the driver telling me they had arrived then I excused myself from the group and got out. Shit I was so damn excited to be seeing her. She is literally my day one this one.

When I got out she was standing outside the car leaning against the door. When she saw me she ran to me then hugged and hung on me. I held her then hugged her too.

"Jeez bruh." I say looking at her.

"I missed you so much." She says then pulls me into a hug again.

"Even got a glow up and all. You look good man." I say then she smiles.

"Well I meeeaaan." She says turning around then I laugh.

"Shit, how you been?" I ask.

"Firstly, you promised never to swear when talking to me, remember?" She asks then I put my hands up in defence.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I say. I was still smiling. Just couldn't believe that I was seeing her after so long.

"Yo there's this hun staring at me. If looks could kill." She says.

"Who the fu-" I stop once I see who it is.

"Oh, baby. Come here." I say calling Thandi.

"Oh, she's the one getting pranked?" Phindi asks then I look back at her telling her to keep quiet just by my expression.

"Okay, baby. This is Phindile, and Phindile this is my baby, Thandi." I say introducing them.

Thandi sends a fake smile her way and Phindi just returns her energy. Well, this will be difficult.

"Okay, let me go get the rest, and I'll meet you guys here. And Thandi, be nice." I say looking at her. She looks back at me and gives an innocent face.

"And you know how I am, about my friends, I don't play like that." I say seriously. Cause deadass, she disrespects Phindi, she disrespecting me, but then again, it's the same with Phindi, if she disrespects Thandi, she disrespects me. This finna be hard.

PHINDILE POV

Well, I'm Phindile and Aviwe and I are bestfriends, exes, each other ride or dies, like alot is going on with her and I.

Last time her and I spoke was last year long after we had broken up cause I had found out she was cheating on Lerato and myself, so I ended things and I mean, we were still fine after that, but when we established we were friends I couldn't carry on speaking to her, cause my feelings were hella strong for her, so I kept my distance.

Actually I had cut off everyone from my primary school and when I got to high school, alot of shit happened and that just caused me to cut any and everybody off, so Aviwe isn't the only person I was avoiding.

And now, I'm back and shit, I still have feelings for her. Thing is Aviwe and I really loved one another and when I had ended things she was willing to leave Lerato to be with me, but I don't like being a choice, so I friendzoned her. One of the reasons I love her is cause even after me making her a friend she still wanted to be around and with me.
