Chapter 77

KAMVA'S POV

I go upstairs to Phindile's room and knock on the door and turn the door hand but it's locked.

"Aviwe, I need time." She says. Guess she thought it was her.

"Nah, hun it's Kamva." I say but she doesn't respond.

"Can you come open?" I ask but it was still quiet. I was about to leave when the door opened. I turned around then she went back in the room. I followed behind her and closed the door.

"You good?" I ask looking at her. I stay standing whilst she sits on the bed.

"Yeah." She says but she was still crying.

"Buhh, you crying." I say sitting down next to her and rubbing her back. She buries her face in her hands. I carry on comforting her till she wipes her tears and looks up.

"So, Aviwe told me what happened." I say then she looks at me and stands up and goes to the bathroom. She gets tissue then blows her nose and wipes her tears and comes back.

"You wanna talk?" I ask then she shakes her head.

"Ayt, sadly you not talking to Aviwe, so uhm, talk to me." I say then she looks at me and smiles.

"Just thought we could fix things." She says then I nod my head.

"You remember what happened when y'all ended?" I ask then she looks at me and shrugs her shoulders.

"Aviwe has a pride problem. But when you left her, we all saw a different side of her. A softer side. And then on top of that, she still wanted to be your friend, just so y'all stay close." I say.

"Yeah, but now I'm back." She says.

"Yeah, you are. And she is happy fam. But you can't expect her to drop everything she's built just like that." I say.

"I'm not, I'm just asking for a chance." She says.

"Yeah, but again, the chance you asking for could ruin everything for her. Okay check. When you left, Aviwe was, was in pain for months. And now, Lerato was also a bitch. Obviously Aviwe wouldn't give her the attention she required cause she was tryna get over you. So like any other asshole, Lerato cheated on Aviwe, multiple times. And Aviwe kept forgiving her cause she thought it was karma perhaps, for what she did to you. So she still got hurt by Lerato right after getting hurt by you. So she was basically in hell.

Soon after that, she became numb to pain. She didn't give a fuck anymore, about shit. She fucked around, she just became somebody she was not. And something she never wants to admit is, she didn't change cause of Lerato. You changed her. Lerato was just the cherry on top. She's only told me this, and now you will also know." I say then she looks at me.

"Okay ayt, you know how you are Aviwe's first love and everything. Well to forget about you and the memories about you, she lies and says Lerato is her first everything. Its gotten to the point whereas she can't talk about you, without feeling some typa way. So the day Thandi came around, when I saw her, I saw a heaven sent. But Aviwe saw just another girl." I say then she looks down.

"Don't feel bad. I'm just tryna explain to you why things are how they are. So you understand." I say lifting her head up.

"And then, I don't know last night if you remember the hun that came for a few hours then left." I say then she nods her head.

"Yeah, so she's our teacher. Youngest teacher in the school. Aviwe, being Aviwe also saw an opportunity there." I say then she widens her eyes.

"And again, cause she was running away from the feelings you left her with. I really don't know when Aviwe got over you, but the day she started committing fully to one person, was the day something finally woke up in her. Okay, so now, you see our teacher, Aviwe fell in love with her, but the teacher didn't wanna be with her cause of age and other underlining factors I'm sure you can figure out. So I'm sure you can imagine what that did to her after you." I say.
