Close to 30 minutes later I get out of my room. I actually calmed down a long time ago just stayed and finished my work cause if this conversation doesn't go well, I don't think Imma be able to concentrate.
When I get downstairs it's quiet so I go the TV room and see my parents there but Thandi isn't.
"She's outside by the patio." My mother says knowing what Imma already ask. I thank her and get out. I go back to the TV room as I forgot to ask her something.
They look at me when I get in. "Is she calmer or?" I ask. I need to know what I'm getting into cause if she's still angry I don't think Imma be able to speak to her.
They say she's better than before then I nod my head and leave. I see her sitting on a chair then go there and take a seat on a chair next to her.
She sees me but doesn't react. "Baby." I say then she cuts me off.
"Do- don't call me that. Reserve that for Lerato." She says then I arch my eyebrows.
"Okay. Look I'm sorry. Like I'm willing to do anything. Literally anything." I say then she looks at me and gives me all of her attention.
"Oh okay. Since that whore can't seem to keep her hands off of you, I don't want you around her anymore. If you can cut her off, Imma think about it." She says.
"Nah. You know I can still control myself." I say then she stands up.
"Clearly you can't. So imma help you." She says then I shake my head.
"Hayi nah. Do you know how long it took Lerato and I to be cool again." I say then she smiles.
"Bye Aviwe." She says then turns around. I quickly hold her hand then let go when she turns around.
"Okay shap khe." I say. She isn't even worth me losing Thandi so I don't give a fuck.
She looks at me surprised then sits down. "I'll stop speaking to her. Doubt her and I will even be friends after highschool." I say then she sits back.
"Thank you." She says. She is in a better mood but I can still see she is still hurt.
"I should be thanking you, but wanna go back to the house?" I ask standing up. She stands up with me.
"Lemme pepa you." I say then she looks at me and laughs.
(Lemme give you a piggy back ride)
"I'm serious." I say then she goes on my back then I carry her.
My parents see us when we come in and look at each other. "Thank God." My mother says then Thandi and I laugh.
"Imagine dealing with a moody Aviwe." My father says then I look at him and shake my head.
"We'll be upstairs." I say then they stop us as we were about to leave.
"Lemme speak to Thandile." My mother says then I look at her and put Thandi down.
They go to the sitting room then my dad calls me so we can go to the other sitting room. When we sit down he stands up again then I look at him. "Changed my mind, let's go to the bar." He says then I laugh.
We sit at the bar then he pours us both whiskey. I take it without asking questions then he says, "don't tell your mom." I laugh then nod my head.
"Okay Aviwe, kwenzeka ntoni?" He asks then I shrug my shoulders.
(Kwenzeka ntoni - what's going on?)
"Cause mna no mamakho thought beni-happy ni-right nizi-goals, then this happens." He says.
(Cause your mother and I thought you were happy, and good and couple goals, then this happens.)
