I get back from my jog and see Thandile in the dining room with my parents, talking and laughing. Don't even think they saw me come in.
"Morning." I say then they all look up at me.
"Morning." They say then I sit down next to Thandile.
"Oh no. We not having any of that here. Go shower." My mother said then I looked at her.
"Mara mama." I say.

"Ah, okay." I say then stand up.
"Let's go." I say whispering in Thandi's ear. She stands up with me and asks to be excused. We get to my room then she sits on my bed.
"Who made the bed?" I ask pointing at it whilst getting undressed.
"Me?" She shrugs her shoulders.
I arch my eyebrow then she looks at me. "I know household chores Aviwe." She says then I laugh.
I then put my clothes in the washing basket. "I never said otherwise though." I say.
"Mmhh. Seemed like you didn't believe me." She says.
"Have you showered?" I ask.
"Yep." She says then I nod my head.
"Wanna shower again?" I ask turning my head to the side.
She smiles then let's out a small laugh. "Not now." She says then I nod my head.
"Ayt." I say. I grab my speaker then switch it on. I play Glenn Jones', We've Only Just Begun, then go to the bathroom. I brush my teeth then get in the shower.

I finish showering then wrap a towel around my torso and have another over my shoulders.
I go to my room then get in my closet. I moisturise then put on my underwear.
"Bae, there is a movie that just came on box office. Can we watch it?" Thandi says getting in the closet.
I smile then look at her. "Hayi. I'm already being called bae. Yheyi." I say then she laughs.
"But sure. We can watch it. Genre?" I ask.
"Romance." She says then I nod my head.
"Ayt. It's fine." I say.
"Hawu, but why did you ask. Which genres don't you watch?" She asks.
"Sci-Fi, paranormal, yah, that nonsense right there." I say then she laughs.
"But how is it nonsense?" She asks.
"Because none of the nonsense that happens on those movies are even remotely possible." I say.
"But what happens on Romantic movies also wouldn't happen in real life." She says.
"Yeah, but on romantic movies there aren't aliens, and humans who are bionic and all those other things." I say then she laughs.
"You so black joh." She says then I laugh.
"What the fuck?" I say then she laughs.
"Hayi. You too black." She says then I laugh and shake my head.
I grab my Jordan shorts, Adidas shirt and Adidas bucket hat and get dressed.

I go back to my room and Thandi is on her phone. I spray deodorant then put on my Givenchy slides.
"So you only use deodorant?" Thandi asks.
"Meaning?" I ask.
"Like you use deodorant." She says.
"Okay, I don't know which context you asking that in, but I have roll on too obviously." I say then she laughs.
"Mxim. Man, Aviwe I mean do you have cologne?" She asks.
"Ohhh, you should just asked. And yes I do have cologne that I buy with my own money, so I only use it on special occasions, example, yesterday I used it." I say.
"Ohhh. No wonder why you smelt so different and good." She says then I look at her.
"I don't know if that's a compliment or what, but okay." I say.
"No, it's a compliment." She says laughing then I shake my head and sit on the bed.
I switch on the TV then give Thandi the remote.
"Are we watching here?" She asks then I look at her.
"Yeah, if you can turn Netflix into DSTV, knock yourself out." I say then she rolls her eyes.
"So my parents are leaving soon, then we'll go down to the TV room." I say.
"Could've said that to begin with." She says then I laugh.
"But how do you know they're leaving?" She asks.
"You'll see." I say. I grab my phone then go on WhatsApp.
I just view a few people's status' then land on Thandi's. Damn, last time I saw her status' was like weeks back.
"You finally unblocked me." I say then she looks down at me.
"I can block you again. I don't mind." She says laughing.
"Oh, you block me I block you." I say then she looks at me then I copy her laugh.
"It's not funny nhe." I say then she rolls her eyes.
I lay my head down on her lap and watch whatever it is she put on this screen.
She rubs my back and fuuuck when was the last time I was so relaxed. I'm about to fall asleep.
She switches off the TV. "Aviwe. Can you just play music rather." She says then I grab my phone and give it to her.
"Play whatever you want to play." I say.
"Wait. You have a sex playlist?" She asks then I look at her.
"Wh- why. Why are you looking at my playlists. Just play a song." I say laughing.
"Hayi kids." She says laughing then I look at her.
"But, what do you think I was making love to you yesterday with?" I ask then she looks at me and opens her mouth.
"Yah, play a song now." I say but she stays like that. I shake my head then lay back down.
She finally plays a song after ten fucking hours. She plays Love by Musiq Soulchild.
"Which playlist did you play that from?" I ask.
"Soul Music. Why?" She asks.
"Oh, okay. Do you know those songs?" I ask.
"Aviwe just lay down." She says then I laugh.
"Ahhh, I'm just asking." I say.
"I do know them Aviwe. I wouldn't have played it if I didn't know the songs." She says then I laugh.
