Chapter 62

Weeks after all the shit that happened Thandi and I were finally fine and I could finally forgive myself for what I did too. I told Lerato her and I couldn't speak anymore and well that didn't go too well, but what can we say.

I mean after that she should've known it was gonna go down like that. I was in class with Khanya at break and we were talking. Thandile, I'm not quite sure where she is hence I'm here.

"So wena no Simphiwe. How is it going?" I ask. I had actually met Simphiwe and obviously I couldn't tell Khanya what to do, but low-key low-key, I really don't like her and I think she feels the same way about me. Couldn't give two shits anyways.

Khanya knew I didn't like her so soon after I asked her that her expression said it all. I laughed then asked, "Yhini, I wanna know if I need to go fight with someone. Been a minute anyways. Wouldn't mind doing it with someone I don't like." I say then she smiles and rolls her eyes.
(Yhini - what?)

"We are very happy Aviwe." She says then I frown. She laughs and looks at me.

"I thought you'd be glad I'm happy." She says.

"Nah I am. Just thought I could finally let of some steam on someone." I say then she shakes her head.

"Go to a boxing ring then." She says then I shake my head.

"Nah. Not my scene." I say then she laughs.

I look at her and smile. I go and sit on her desk in front of her. She looks at me then hits my leg. I look at her. "My papers. You gonna rip learners' tests." She says then I move my leg.

I get a sandwich from her lunch then she looks at me and carries on with what she's doing. "You wanna complain I can see." I say then she laughs.

"How do you buy me food then take it? You had your own." She says.

"I can buy it again. There's no stress but you can't eat alone." I say then she looks at me.

"You had your own." She says.

"I bought you a sandwich, drink and snacks, I got myself a pie. I'm still hungry." I say.

"You lying now." She says.

"About?" I ask.

"You still being hungry." She says then I laugh.

"Oh so now you in my stomach." I say then she laughs.

"You stupid." She says in-between laughs then rolls her eyes when she comes down.

"It's so crazy how I still make you roll your eyes hey." I say then she looks at me and we both maintain eye contact for the longest time. She leans forward and as we were centimetres away the door opened. We quickly moved away from one another and I cleared my throat, Khanya quickly grabbed her phone and acted like she was showing me some meme. Thank God her phone was there.

We look at the door and it's Thandi. Fuck. Thank God she got in when she did cause I was gonna most probably lose her this time.

"What are you guys doing?" She asks then comes to my side.

"None. I was actually asking her about uSimphiwe." I say looking at Khanya and she is just looking at me. I nudge her using my leg then she clears her throat and looks at us.

"What about Simphiwe?" Thandi asks.

"Nah, I was just saying how Imma bash her if she hurts her." I say then Thandile nods her head. I can tell she is kinda suspicious, but khe she didn't see anything so I know I'm good.

I look at Khanya and she is staring into space. Girl in her own world. "Khanya." I call her. Thandi and I look at her then she stands up.

"Guys I need some space. Can you leave." She says then I arch my eyebrows.
