Waking up in the hospital is never pleasant. I had an IV in my hand which i wanted to pull out very badly, and everything was just foreign. No one was in the room so i found the nurse button and quickly pressed it.
A few minutes later, Evie came in the door. Fantastic.. The last time i saw her it was horrible. Either i was being way to jealous, or she was being a major flirt on Travis. And i did not like that one bit. I'm just glad Travis was too sick to catch on.
"Hello, Ms. Jennings. How are you feeling?" I'm feeling like i want a different nurse.
"First off, what the hell happened to me?"
"Yes, well, Ms. Jennings-" I cut her off.
"Evie, just call me Megan and get to the point. Am i gonna die or what?"
"No. You had a panic attack. Be thankful that Mr. Gaskarth was there and reconigized what was going on."
"So i'm totally fine."
"Except for your brain tumor."
"Thanks for reminding me." Bitch. "Wheres Travis and Thomas? And i bet everyone that was at my house is here right now. Where are they?"
"Would you like me to fetch them?"
"That would be lovely." I fake smiled as she walked out of the room.
I took a deep breath and studied my surroundings. I was only hooked up to like one or two machines--too many wires so i can't tell--so it didn't look that bad to me. I've been hooked up to more. This is me trying to think positive. It's clearly not working.
"Megan!" Thomas rushed in and gave me a big hug.
"Ow! Watch the IV dammit!" My hands shot to my arm.
"Shit! Sorry, sis." He nervously scratched his head.
"It's okay." I smiled because i was glad to actually see Thomas for once. "So, what have they told you?"
"That you have like a panic attack. Alex explained everything to me about that. We're glad you didn't like hit your head or anything."
"Yeah. Where is everyone?"
"The waiting room. Well, Savannah is probably outside the door-"
"When did Savannah get here?"
"Jack called her."
"Damn, that boy thinks of everything."
"Megan? Theres something else though.." Thomas nervously shuffled on his feet.
"Spit it out Tom. I've had worse news."
"Well, they want to do the surgery today. Not next week."
"What are you talking about? Can't it wait?"
"No, Megan. They don't want you to get another panic attack or a seizure or worse. The quicker they get this done the better."
"They can't do this. Mom and Dad aren't here!"
"Megs, you can do this. You're strong."
"Go get Travis, please." I begged.
"Megan-"
"Thomas, if you loved me you would go get my boyfriend right now."
"Meg-"
"What? Is he not here?"
"It's not that, well, his parents are here."
"Fan-fucking-tastic. The first time i meet his parents and i'm in a hospital bed. Why are they here?" I looked down at my IV and then wiggled my toes.
