I walked in the room and sat down. I was the only one here so far, like usual. Everyone usually walks in right before the minute bell rings. A couple minutes later Drew walks in the door and sits down at his spot next to me. He gets his book out of his backpack and takes a big breath. He looks nervous.
"Megan did you notice the Lime Green Camaro?" He smiled.
"Yeah, whos is it?"
"Mine."
"Really? We both have Camaros." I smiled back.
"Yup! I bought it the other day! Lime Green is my favorite color and ive wanted the car ever since i was little."
"Thats cool. I wanted my Camaro ever since i could talk, and i got it when i was sixteen."
BEEP. BEEP. The minute bell rang. Everyone rushed in, not wanting to be late. DING. DING. DING. The bell rang. Ms. Mathers walked up to the front of the class and started to teach. She was really crabby today. I think she needs a date. I wrote notes in my lucky green pen until the bell rang for passing period. Everyone started to get up and leave. I walked out the door and someone grabbed my arm.
"Megan are you going to the talent show tomorrow?" Drew asked.
"Yeah, I am." Drew smiled. "Im going to perform actually." I smiled.
"Really? Me too!" He said.
"Thats cool! See you tomorrow Drew."
"You too Megs!"
I walked to second hour with a big smile on my face. I had not only talked to Drew once but twice! Savannah was right about the whole positivity thing. I should listen to her more often!
The day passed fairly quickly. I walked to my locker and entered the combination, but it wouldnt budge. I turned the wheel three or four times then i tried again. No luck. I sighed. I decided to try it one more time. I started to spin the wheel and it still didnt open. Drew walked down the hallway and came over to me.
"Need help?" He smiled.
"Um. Yeah. It wont open."
"Let me try. Whats the combo?"
"37,17,7."
I watched him as he started to open my locker. I studied his flawless face and the cute little dot between his eyebrows. He opened it without any frustration at all.
"There you go." He smiled again.
"Thanks Drew!" I smiled back.
I watched him walk away. I sighed again. If he only knew.
