We finally got to Panera and we hopped out of Drews car and headed inside. We walked up to the counter.
"Welcome to Panera. What would you like?" The cashier said.
"Can i have a large unsweet ice tea and a cinnamon bagel?" We both said at the same time. We looked at each other. We both smiled.
"Two large unsweet ice teas and two cinnamon bagels coming right up."
We sat down at a table in the back and waited for our food to come. I glanced at the window and saw a brightly colored poster for auditions for a boyband.
"Drew! Look at this its auditions for a boyband! You should try out! I know you'll make it for sure!" I said.
"You really think so?" He said.
"I know so Drew!"
"I guess I could give it a shot."
"That’s the spirit Drew! Always think positively!" I smiled. The waiter brought over our food.
"Two unsweet ice teas and two cinnamon bagels. There you go." She winked at Drew and left.
"DID YOU JUST SEE THAT?" I yelled.
"Yeah, she’s not my type. I already have a lady." Drew smiled and I hugged him. "I’m gonna go get some Splenda. Be back in a sec."
I watched as Drew walked over to the counter to go get some Splenda for our tea. The waitress was clearly hitting on him and Drew apparently didn’t like it much. I saw him roll his eyes and walk back to me.
"She is annoying me so much that its not even funny." I said.
"Tell me about it." The waitress walked over again.
"Heres some napkins." She smiled at drew. Drew could tell I was pissed off, so I started to eat my bagel.
"Megan you have something on your face." Drew said.
"Really?! What is it?" I blushed. Drew leaned over and kissed me.
"Don’t worry, I got it." Drew smiled. The waiter gave us a look and walked away. "Serves her right." He laughed. We finished eating and headed to Drew’s car.
"Lets head to that audition!" I said.
"Ok." Drew looked nervous.
Drew drove to the audition in silence. We finally arrived at the Record Company and saw a lot of other people there.
"I don’t know if I can do this." Drew said.
"Believe in yourself." I said.
"Alright."
We walked in the Record Company and sat down in a row of chairs. A lot of other people are here. Most of them are warming up.
"Wanna warm up together? It might make you more comfortable and less nervous."
"Um. Sure." Drew smiled.
"It’s like he doesn’t hear a word I say, his mind is somewhere far away, and I don’t know how to get there. It’s like all he wants is to chill out. Makes me want to pull all my hair out. Like he doesn’t even care. " I sang.
"You." Drew sang.
"Me."
"Were face to face to face but we don’t see eye to eye!" We both sang.
"Like fire and rain!" I sang.
"Like fire and rain!" Drew echoed.
"You can drive me insane!"
"But I can’t stay mad at you for anything!"
"Like Venus and Mars!"
"Were like different stars!"
"And you’re the harmony to every song I sing! And I wouldn’t change a thing!" We both sang.
We finished singing and we were both smiling. We looked at everyone else and they were staring at us. Then they started to clap.
"Drew?" I said.
"Yeah?"
"They like us."
Suddenly a tall man in a buisness suit walked out of one of the doors clapping and smiling.
"Whats your name kid?" He said.
"Drew Ryan Scott." Poor Drew looked as if he was going to puke.
"Well Drew, your a good singer. What would you say if I offered you the lead singing spot in my new boyband?"
Drew's mouth dropped open.
"I....I....I....."
