Three Years Later.
"Travis, where are you taking me?" I giggled.
We were on vacation on Paris, and my vacation i meant tour. We got lucky enough to tour together again and we were enjoying every minute. Travis has been acting strange lately though. It's probably just me overreacting again.
"Isn't it beautiful?" Travis spoke. I looked up at the Eiffel Tower with a loving gaze.
"It's so pretty."
"Not as pretty as you though." He grinned.
"That was so fucking cheesy." I laughed and kissed him.
"Ready to head back? The show is going to start soon."
"As ready as i'll ever be." I smiled.
The past three years have been amazing. My album got great feedback, and I'm halfway done with the next one. My friends have had some good years too. Drew has been dating who he considers his soul mate for the past three years. I'm so proud of him for breaking out of his shell all those years ago.
Savannah and Jayk eventually started dating. They didn't actually tell anyone until they were together for a few months. I was only a little upset until i realized we were talking about Savannah and i figured as much from her. We're still best friends to this day.
Zack and Aubrey are married. I was the Maid of Honor and yes, i did cry. They're so perfect for each other and it was fantastic to finally see them together.
I'm currently on tour with All Time Low, We The Kings and The Summer Set. It was kind of a reunion tour from the show we did a few years ago. The one where Travis asked me out on stage. There's no way i'll ever forget it.
Travis was visibly shaking as i was holding his hand walking through the streets of Paris, trying to get back to the venue.
"Baby, are you cold?" I asked.
"What?"
"You're shaking. Are you okay?"
"Oh! Oh, i'm just cold. I'm okay. Thank you for asking though." He smiled.
Something was off. He looked back at the street and bit his lip. He only did that when he was thinking way too hard about something. He used to bite his lip ring a lot, and now that there's just an empty hole, he'll bite at where it used to be.
Travis hasn't cut in two years. We went through a small rough patch a little over two years ago and it wasn't pretty. Looking back, i don't even remember what started the fight. I remember that i stayed with Savannah for a few days until Travis came to get me. He apologized and i could see it was genuine. He showed me his wrist after we got home and it was a heartbreaking moment for the both of us. Since then, Travis went to a therapist for a year after. I'm positive that he's stopped for good. But if a situation would ever come up and he did start again, i would still support him and love him as much as i do now.
It didn't take us long to get back to the venue. Travis was rushed off for guitar check or something, and i was rushed to get my microphone on, along with everything else i needed.
My show went awesome and afterwords i hung out with Jess Bowen in the green room. We were catching up on life when Hunter, Danny, and Charles rushed in. Deja Vu much?
"Come on!" They laughed.
"Really? This again?" I grinned.
"We won't pick you up this time, we'll let you walk." Hunter smiled.
I followed them to the stage to see Travis and his acoustic guitar all alone. The crowd was focused on him, as was i. We stood side stage and watched.
"This is my favorite song for a lot of reasons," Travis began to say, "About four years ago i wrote this song for a girl who i wanted to date really bad. And as most of you know, we did end up dating, and have been for four years. Write the girl or boy you like a song, cause believe me, it works! This is Say You Like Me!" He yelled and began the song.
I sat there smiling throughout the entire thing. He usually didn't do a little shoutout to me like this.
"Thank you! Thank you. Megan? Can you please come on out here?" The crowd cheered and i was now confused and nervous. I slowly stepped out from side stage and joined Travis in the center. I gave him a quick hug and gazed at the crowd.
"This is Megan. She's been my girlfriend for four years. You're probably wondering why i'm doing this right?" I nodded my head. "Do you remember earlier when we were at the Eiffel Tower and you asked me why i was shaking?" Once again, i nodded my head. "It wasn't because i was cold. I was nervous."
"Why would you be- Oh my God." I didn't get a chance to finish my sentence before Travis got down on one knee.
"Megan, you've made me the happiest person in the world. You helped me when i was at my worst, and you've been with me throughout my best. I want to be together forever. I want to write you songs when we're ninety years old and can barely hold a guitar. I want to be with you every single day, and i cherish every single moment we have together. Megan Jennings, will you marry me?" Travis took a box out of his pocket and opened it to reveal the prettiest ring i've ever seen.
I covered my mouth with my hands and started to wipe my tears away. Quickly, i shook my head yes. Travis smiled and put the ring on my finger before picking me up in a huge hug. We both gazed into each others eyes for a minute before kissing.
"I love you so fucking much right now." Travis kissed me again.
"For ever and always."
