Delaney Sugg
I walked through the crowded halls at school. I was walking with my friend Mariah. We sat down in the lunchroom and pulled out or lunch from home.
"Hey Delaney!" The lead cheerleader, Stephanie came over. She is one of the people trying to get to know my brother a sister who are famous video stars.
"Hi Stephanie." I said blankly and faking a smile.
"You mind if I sit by you?"
"Uh.....sure?" I said in a sort of questioned voice.
"Thanks! Oh! Hey Mary! I didn't see you!" Stephanie smiled.
"Its Mariah." Miriah replied. She really hates Stephanie.
"Same thing." Stephanie smiled taking out her lunch. We started eating and didn't talk. It was pretty awkward. Then the end of lunch bell rang. Mariah and I quickly packed our things to get out fast.
"Hang on Delaney!" Stephanie called. I stopped and turned around.
"Yeah?" I answered.
"Whats your number? Maybe we can hang out this weekened or something?" Stephanie asked. She's done this before.
"I don't know...its not a very good time. Im pretty busy...."
"Oh! Please.....Its the only weekened I dont have cheer practice." I sighed.
"I'll have to ask my parents. I'll text you or something." I said. She gave me her number a few weeks ago.
"Ok! Let me know! See you!" She flashed her bright smile and walked away flipping her bleach blonde hair.
"Ughhhh...." I sighed. Mariah came by my side.
"You need to just tell her no. She's using you, Delaney." Mariah said.
"I know. I know."
"Have you told Zoe or Joe about this?"
"No. They won't care."
"Joe and Zoe are so nice. They will listen. You just need to talk to them."
"I know. I want to but I don't know."
"When you go home just talk to them."
"Ok.....I will." I walked to my classroom saying goodbye to Mariah and sitting in my seat.
The rest of the day went by and I was on my way home. I got inside and went to my room. My parents were still working and Joe and Zoe were in their rooms editing a video. I walked over to Zoe's room first.
"Hey Zoe? Can I talk to you....and Joe too actually." I said.
"Sure. Joe!?" Zoe yelled. Joe came walking in.
"What?" Joe said sitting on Zoe's bed.
"Delaney said she needed to talk to us." Zoe replied.
"Ok....So.....I haven't told you this but theres a ton of kids that are basically using me. They want to meet you both so they are using me to get to you." Zoe's face dropped.
"Delaney.....thats the last thing I want to happen." Zoe shook her head.
"Just tell them we can't have them come over." Joe shrugged.
"Joe! She doesn't want to be rude to these people." Zoe offended.
"There's this one girl. Her name is Stephanie and she is asking to come over and hang out. The thing is she never really talked to me until she figured out that you two were my siblings."
"You need to tell her that we don't really want her over. But say it nicely of course." Zoe replied.
"Your right. I'm going to text her right now." I went to my room and texted Stephanie saying how my siblings don't want any fan over at their house. Of course Stephanie said that we can meet somewhere else and maybe they'd change their mind but I said no to that as well.
I called Mariah and she came over. We went to my room and chatted for a little while about nothing important really. I wanted to go to take a walk in the park so we walked over to the park.
"How have you been handling this whole Stephanie situation?" Mariah asked.
"Pretty good. I talked to Joe and Zoe and they said for me to just tell Stephanie that they don't want fans in their house." I replied.
"Well, thats good." We walked around in silence just enjoying the fall breeze in London. I felt someone grab my shoulders. I gasped and turned around.
"Caspar! Why'd you do that?" I asked trying to catch my breath from the scare.
"Sorry Delaney. Any way how've you been!" Caspar laughed.
"I just saw you yesterday."
"I know I know. Hey Mariah." Caspar nodded.
"Hey Casp!" Mariah smiled.
"Joe's at home you know."
"I know. I just wanted to come for a walk too."
"Oh. Ok. I guess you can tag along." The three of us wandered around the park talking here and there. Then my phone rang. It was my mom.
"Delaney, I need you to come home. Its getting late." My mom said.
"Alright. Im on my way." I sighed. She's so strict about how long Im out and everything. Its actually quit annoying.
After Mariah and Caspar went home I walked into my house. My mom was sitting in the kitchen with my dad eating.
"You started eating without me?" I slightly joked.
"You should've came home earlier." Dad replied taking a bite of his meal.
"I came home right when mom called. And what about Zoe and Joe.....Did they eat?"
"We're going out tonight." Joe said walking down the stairs. He was dressed in black skinny jeans, a white graphic tee shirt and a leather jacket. Zoe was wearing a knee length cocktail dress that was a peach color.
"You said we have to be in by 11 mom." I exclaimed.
"They're doing things with people they work with." Mom nodded.
"Youtube mom. Youtube. Its not really a job when you're sitting infront of a camera and talking to no one." I argue.
"I usually don't get mad but, Delaney. This is our job. We make videos and get paid doing it therefore its a job. Now don't get so upset." Zoe frowned.
"I will get upset because mom and dad only care about their 2 successful childeren. Two 'internet famous' kids making stupid videos. Im sick of this!" I ran to my room. I never really blow up like this but lately Joe and Zoe have been getting all the attention. I don't even work. I babysit and thats about it. I don't really get much respect around here.
