Chapter 43

Delaney Sugg

It's been two weeks. We adopted James and he is very happy now. School starts in a few weeks so I we enrolled James in LA High School. He is pretty excited for that. I on the other hand am planning on taking my pregnancy tests. I bought 5 boxes and decided to do them all.

After doing all the tests I waited for them to process or whatever. I was getting so impatient. I just really wanted to know if I was pregnant or not.

About 15 minutes later all the test were done. I closed my eyes and looked at them. All of them were positive. I smiled and ran down stairs. Randy was outside with James and Samantha on the trampoline. I ran all the way out there.

"I have news everybody! I'm pregnant!" I smiled. Everyone cheered and hugged me. I already made an appointment with my doctor and everything so I was ready. I was so happy.

"Let's go out for lunch to celebrate!" Randy suggested. We all agreed and got in the car. We went to Apple bees and just had a good time together.

We got home and Samantha and James decided to watch a movie downstairs. I on the other hand wanted to talk about our wedding.

"Hey Randy, can we talk about when the wedding is going to be?" I asked.

"Yea! Sure! Do you have an idea of when?" He asked.

"Well, I really want it to be in the fall. I was thinking around October."

"Yea that sounds good. I was planning on going dress shopping with Zoe and my mom today."

"Okay, why don't you go now? I'll just stay with the kids and it'll all be good."

"Okay! Thanks! I'll be back later!" I drove to Zoe's house first. Both her and Joe moved out of our parents house. Zoe lives with her boyfriend Alfie and Joe lives with his best friend Caspar.

I knocked on Zoe's door and Alfie answered.

"Oh hey Delaney! Come on in!" Alfie smiled. I walked in and he gave me a hug.

"Is Zoe here?" I asked.

"She is. I believe she's doing the laundry. You can go down if you'd like."

"Thanks!" I went downstairs and Zoe was doing the laundry.

"Hey Zoe!" I said.

"Oh! Hi Delaney!" Zoe replied.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go dress shopping with me." I offered.

"Oh yes! Is mom coming along?"

"I was planning on going there next."

"Okay! Well let's go!" Zoe ran up the stairs and I followed. "Alfie! Finish the laundry! I'm going dress shopping with Delaney!" Zoe always got very excited in these kind of situations.

We drove to moms house and we explained how we wanted her to come dress shopping. My mom was very happy and excited so we left immediately. We decided to go to David's Bridal to pick out my dress.

We walked in and went to the reception desk.

"Can I help you ladies?" The lady asked.

"Um....yes. I'm here to pick out my wedding dress." I explained. The receptionist smiled brightly.

"Well, congratulations! I'll get a sales clerk to help you right away." She beamed.

"Thank you." I replied. We took a seat in the waiting area. Not many people were here which was actually kind of nice.

After waiting for about 5 minutes a very pretty sales clerk came over.

"Hello! My name is Sandra and I'll be helping you pick out your dress. Now may I ask, who here is the bride to be?" Sandra asked.

"That would be me." I smiled.

"Lovely! And what's your name?"

"Delaney."

"Okay, Delaney! Is there a budget to this dress?"

"Um, I was thinking----" I was cut off by my mother.

"No budget here! I'll be taking care of everything." My mom explained.

"Mom---" I started.

"Delaney, I am doing this for you. Now go find your wedding dress!" I smiled at my mom then looked back at Sandra.

"Okay. I guess your set then!" Sandra laughed.

"I guess so!" I laughed as well.

"Well, let's head on back." We walked to the back and found a dressing room. We both entered the room and sat across from each other.

"Okay, so tell me about your fiancé." Sandra said.

"Well, I'm from England but moved here in time for High School. I met my fiancé, Randy, in class because we had to do an assignment together. We didn't get along at first because he was the most popular guy in the school and I was just the English transfer girl that was shy. But in the end we got along and here I am." I explain.

"Well, he seems amazing. But now, tell me about what kind of dress you are looking for." Sandra replied.

"I'm looking for a white dress that has a sweet heart neckline. The wedding is in the fall too so I would like a long flows dress. And a belt would be lovely and also there needs to be some sort of beading on it."

"Okay! I'll go see what I have."

After trying on loads of dresses I found the one. It was everything I wanted. The belt was beaded and it was perfect. I was so happy after buying that. We all left the shop excited and decided to go out for an early dinner. My mom treated us to some Chili's.

I dropped my mom off first then Zoe and headed home. I was out later then I thought but I had a great time. I got home to a quiet house. Randy was asleep on the couch, Samantha was asleep on the recliner and James was asleep on the floor. There was a movie playing and a box of pizza on the floor as well. I picked up the box and threw it away. Then I went to wake Randy up but he looked so peaceful so I let him be. I smiled to myself and decided to go to my room and get to sleep. Today was a very exciting day.

Someone commented on a previous chapter that I already had Randy propose....I kinda forgot about that since I didn't write in this book for some time. I'm sorry about the mistake but now they are officially engaged....haha!!! :) hope you enjoyed!!! Let me know in the comments!!

PPS: doesn't have to do with the story but One Direction released the Drag Me Down music video today and let me tell you, that was perfection right there!!!! They all looked amazing and ugh! If yall didn't see it yet look it up right now!!!!!! I loved ittttttt!!!!!!
