Chapter 36

Delaney Sugg

I really had no idea where I was going. I was probably going to end up going back home to Joe and Zoe, mom and dad. I had no tears to cry. I was just angry so I called Zoe.

"Hey sis!" Zoe answered.

"Hey Zoe. So do you think I can come back home. Over night maybe?" I asked while driving.

"Of course! Mom and dad miss you and so do we. What's wrong?"

"I'll explain when I get there." We said goodbye and I continued driving. My phone rang and glanced seeing it was Randy. I shook my head and declined but he kept calling and texting so I shut my phone off as I pulled into the driveway of my old house.

"Hello?" I said walking in the door.

"Hey honey!" My mom said hugging me.

"Hi mom."

"Nice to see you again. Dad is out but a Joe and Zoe are upstairs."

"Ok. Thanks." I walked up the stairs to Zoe's room which is really calming. The walls are a tan color with a brown accent wall above her bed with a pink Z wall hanger. Zoe was laying on her bed on her stomach on her laptop.

"Hey Zo." I said sitting on her butterfly chair.

"Hey how are you?" She asked shutting her laptop.

"I've been better."

"Wanna talk about it?"

"Yeah."

"Ok. I'm all ears."

"Ok...so I went to a party with Randy the other day and it started out fun. But I couldn't find him and I eventually did find him smoking marajuana and very drunk. I asked him to leave nicely and he was saying no. I told him I was leaving expecting him to follow me but he didn't. Then he came out at a ridiculous time smelling like smoke, alcohol and some type of strong perfume. He expected me to forgive him! But that's not happening." I explain with a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Listen Delaney. It was a one time thing. Sure, it was very rude of him to do such thing but he got carried away. And I'm sure if he could he would take back everything he did last night. Just forgive him." Zoe replied.

"It's not that easy, Zoe!"

"I know it's not but you need to try. He loves you."

"Yeah...."

"Go on home and talk to him. Trust me. I have done this so many times with Alfie. He does something stupid and I get mad but I calm down and talk to him. It's ok to forgive for a mistake."

'Your right. Thanks Zoe. I'm going to go now." I leaned over and gave her a hug.

"It's not a problem. Come to me with any other troubles." Then I left. I took deep breaths trying to calm down. I opened up the door to my house and Randy was on the couch sleeping. I tapped his shoulder and he opened his eyes.

"Your back. Delaney, I'm truly sorry. I would take it back in an instant." Randy said sitting up.

"I know. Can we talk?" I asked.

"Yeah of course."

"Ok....so I understand you made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes and we should always forgive that person. So, I forgive you for the mistake you made but please don't back that mistake again." I said calmly.

"I won't I promise you. Those people I was hanging out with were old friends of mine that were bad influences. I won't hang out with them again."

"I'm not going to stop you from hanging out with them. They're your friends. But your old enough to make good choices."

"Ok. Thank you Delaney. I'm so sorry." Randy gave me a short kiss and we both sat on the couch watching TV.

I woke up and I was laying next to Randy in bed. I missed this so I smiled and stretched out. Randy was snoring lightly and was laying on his stomach with his face to me. I played with his hair and his snoring stopped. Randy opened his eyes and looked at me and grinned.

"Morning." Randy said with his voice deep of sleep.

"Morning." I yawned. I sat up and stretched. "I'll go make breakfast."

"Okay. Why don't you make smoothies then we can go out and sit in the hot tub. It seems like a really nice day out."

"Sure! What do you want in the smoothie?"

"Mango, strawberry, blueberry and banana?"

"Sure. Get in your suit."

"You too." I went to the bathroom and changed into a black and white stripped bikini and put my cover up over and started preparing the smoothie. I looked out the window as I waited for Randy and saw some kids that looked like they were about in 6th grade. They were in our backyard and were on the trampoline that was placed in the middle of the backyard. They must've climbed over the fence or something.

"Randy!" I yell since he was upstairs.

"Coming!" He yelled back coming down the stairs.

"Theres some kids on our trampoline." Randy looked out the window and sighed opening the door.

"James! What are you doing here?!" Randy shouted. This James person and his friends stopped jumping and James ran over to Randy.

"Good to see,you too!!" James said hugging Randy. James had a strong southern accent. He also has strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. He seems like on of those cocky kids from school.

"Delaney, this is my little cousin James. He lives in Alabama but he sometimes catches a train of bus here. He wasn't suppose to come until next week."

"Where's Aunty?" James said.

"Aunty moved. Not sure where she is but I stayed here."

"Oh ok."

"Yeah."

"Well.....I'm gunna get back to my friends out there on the tramp."

"Fine....but James, next time let us know if your stopping by."

"Sure thing. I set my bags in the garage. Now who is this beaut right here." James sId eyeing me.

"That would be my girlfriend Delaney. She's from England. But has lived here for sometime."

"Cool. Be back later cuz!" And like that, James ran off.
