The Aftermath (Hawk)

Prompt: y/n cleans Hawk up after the school fight (lots of blood so if that grosses you out, you may want to skip this one) request for @BiAs66639

I was reeling from the events at the school. The administration had sent everyone home early so they could deal with the police and clean up the halls and I couldn't believe what had just happened. I was shocked that my boyfriend could do something so violent just because of a stupid karate rivalry. I could tell he was pretty hurt so I insisted he come home with me so I could patch him up.

"I told you y/n, I'm fine."

"You're covered in blood."

"How do you know it's mine?"

"It's still wet and there's more of it than there was a few minutes ago."

"Damn it, fine I'll come with you, do you have something I can sit on so I don't fuck up your car?"

"Yeah," I grabbed some beach towels out of the trunk for him to sit on and I drove us to my house.

When we got to my house I insisted he take a shower and gave him some clothes he had left in my room a while back to change into. Once he was done I instructed him to sit on my bed as I gave him a once over and assessed how much first aid I'd need to do.

"Does this hurt?" I gingerly touched a nasty looking bruise that was seeping blood.

He hissed in pain, "fuck"

"I'm gonna take that as a yes, this is gonna hurt like a bitch but we gotta make sure none of these get infected." I grabbed some antiseptic and started cleaning out all of his cuts and scrapes. To his credit, Hawk took it pretty well, only stopping me a couple times when I got to a particularly deep cut.

"All done with the worst part," I soothed him and brushed the hair out of his face.

"I sure hope there isn't anything worse."

"Nope, I just gotta put on some ointment and bandage you up and then you're good to go."

"Is it gonna hurt?"

"Probably."

I started dressing each of his wounds, dabbing on some ointment and then covering it in a bandage as he lay on my bed, clearly uncomfortable. I worked from his legs up so by the time I reached his face I was done.

"There, good as new," I bent down and kissed him sweetly, "How do you feel?"

"Are you kidding? I feel great, after all, I had the best nurse in the valley." He winked at me and I gently pushed his shoulder. He grinned and grabbed my waist pulling me onto him.

"Hey!" I protested.

"Hey yourself,"

"Let me go."

"Not a chance babe."

"Why not?"

"Because I think I deserve cuddles after all that fighting I did," he pouted at me and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Well fighting is bad but I think you earned some cuddles for being so brave while I cleaned you up." I kissed his nose and hopped off my bed.

"HEY! Where are you going?"

"I'm getting some snacks and then flopping onto the couch, you can either join me or stay up here by yourself."

"Ughh that's not a choice."

"Sure it is." I smiled cheekily and ran off to the kitchen to pop some popcorn and get some drinks.

"Hey babe, what do you want to watch?" I could hear Hawk calling to me from the living room.

"I don't really care, but no action movies, we've had enough violence for one day."

"How about a cheesy romcom?"

"Sounds good to me," I carried our drinks and a big bowl of popcorn into the living room and sat next to Hawk on the couch. I handed him his drink as I curled up into his side and he started the movie.

I'm not sure when I fell asleep but the next thing I knew, Hawk was carrying me up the stairs to my room. After he put me on the bed he started to leave but I stopped him,

"Hawk?" I called softly.

"Yeah baby?"

"Will you stay with me tonight?"

"Of course y/n, are you okay?"

"I'm just worried about you and I know you won't take proper care of those cuts on your own."

"Okay baby, goodnight," He kissed the top of my head and pulled me to his chest.

"I love you."

"I love you too y/n."

A/N: Apparently I can't write any angst without immediately following it with some fluff so here you go! This isn't connected to the Miguel version of the fight, I just happened to get these requests around the same time.
