Goodnight

A/N: Robby x Tory request for @ummmnomaam - they're practicing together and they get caught up talking about their home lives - this is gonna be a shorter one for lack of ideas so sorry bout that but here it is :D

Robby was in the back room of the Cobra Kai dojo and he was currently standing in front of a punching bag as he practiced his form. Tory walked into the back room and took the bag next to him as she began to viciously punch and kick.

"You good over there?"
Tory shook her head, "Just stressed is all."

"I get that, wanna spar for a bit?"
"Sure, meet you on the mat?"

Robby nodded and walked out into the main room and sat on the mat to wait for Tory.

Tory walked out a few minutes later and Robby stood up and took the corner opposite as they both got into a fighting stance. Tory lept at him and he side stepped and kicked her in the side. Tory let out a grunt as she landed hard, she stood and threw a punch and caught him square in the chest. They continued fighting until they were both panting and ready to collapse. Robby made one last effort and pinned her to the mat until she tapped out.

"Good job," he offered her a hand up which she took and Robby helped her to her feet.

"You too, no one's been able to beat me before."

"No one's been able to last that long with me on the mat before." he winked and she shoved his shoulder as they went back into the back room to continue training.

"I still can't believe I'm here, I never thought I'd be in my dad's old dojo."

"Not a fan of his teaching style?"

"Let's just say he wasn't around when I was little and now he thinks he can just walk back into my life and tell me what to do."

"I feel that; my dad isn't around anymore either, it's just me, my brother, and my mom. And my mom is really sick so I have to take care of the both of them."

"I'm so sorry, that must suck."

"I mean yeah, but I'm used to it. What about your mom?"

"She decided I'm old enough to take care of myself so she's always out with some boyfriend, half the time she doesn't even pay the bills before she leaves so they'll shut off our power. That's why I was living with the LaRussos before."

"Yikes, I have to figure out how to make all the payments too, I was going to quit karate to get another job but Kreese worked something out with my landlord and I got an extension."

"I'm glad you were able to come back," he offered her a small smile, "do you wanna go get some food? I'll buy."

"Sure, I could eat. What are we getting?"

"I was thinking ice cream, is that okay?"

"Sounds great." She grinned and they walked out of the dojo and got into his car to go get ice cream.

Once they got their ice cream, Robby pulled into the parking lot of the park and they sat there and talked about their families more and realized that they had a lot more in common than they thought. They spent the entire afternoon in the park, just talking about random things and laughing. It started to get dark and they suddenly realized how long they had been gone.

"Oh shit, I need to go home. My brother is gonna be hungry, I feel terrible asking this but do you mind giving me a ride home?"

"Not at all, let's go, you can give me your address when we get in the car."

"Thank you so much, you're a lifesaver."

"Of course. Hey, if you ever need a ride again, I'll give you my number and you can just shoot me a text."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I mean it."

"You're the best Robby."

"If I'm the best, I don't suppose you might want to go out with me on a proper date would you?"

"I'd love that, but now I need to get home so I can feed my baby brother."

"Oh I didn't mean now, we can work on logistics later. Why don't you put your number in my phone while I drive and text yourself so we have each other's phone numbers?"

"Aight, here's the directions to my apartment."

Robby pulled out of the parking lot and started driving them to her apartment and as he drove they sung along to the radio and made stupid jokes. It was the happiest either of them had been in a really long time.

Once he got to Tory's apartment complex he got out to walk her to her door.

"Goodnight Robby."

"'Night Tory, text me later?"
"You got it."

She started to open her door when he spun her around and kissed her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss as he held onto her hips to pull her closer. She broke the kiss and went into her apartment and he walked back to his car, both smiling to themselves and excited to explore their new little relationship.

A/N: hope you guys liked it! I thought it was a cute little blurb and it only took me about half an hour to write and edit so I'd call that a win.
